Thanks for all your pics. Ya'll did a great job. I hear D23 went well, but it did have some bugs. I'm sure they will make the proper adjustments for next go around. Once again, thank you both. |
Hey, no need to thank me...it was a total joy to attend, and I'm grateful for the opportunity. |
Same here. Heh, I used all the money that I got from my family for my HS graduation to go on this trip. Most other people would probably buy an ipod or something, but I bought tickets for this. I guess it's all about what it's worth to you.
{A very big thanks to FlynnOne for the pic! And to Wulfeous for sharpening the details!*huggles both*}

Sounds like everyone had a good time at this gathering. Thank you ShadowSpark and FlynnOne for sharing your pictures and narrating your experiences.
Bruce and Cindy both sound like nice people to chat with. Sometimes the stars of film and TV can be a bit (to put it politely) snippy so it's good to see they're pleasant to talk to.

Just read that Bruce has cancelled his DragonCon appearance Labor Day weekend. If anyone was going, just a heads up. I also heard that Ms Gilbert filed divorce proceedings, so not sure if that's why he isn't going although it could be professional obligations. He does have some new TV show he will be in, whether full time or not.
Anyway DCon is always fun but I'm glad I'm not missing seeing him again. Lots of other fun folk though.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Well, we did know they were splitting up. I guess I thought they'd already filed for divorce.
Read on a tabloid that somebody's trying to get him to do some sort of tell-all book about Melissa's alcoholism and stuff. Hopefully he's too classy to do something like that. (Even if it turns out she's a total jerk and deserves it or something, it'll make him look better if he doesn't. Plus it sounds like her problem is no secret, so what would be the point of putting all the details out there? My ex was depressed and he was a total asshole who deserves to be treated badly, but if I published every dirty little bit it'd hurt me as much as him since it was a hard thing to go through, and I imagine this would be the same way for Bruce) What do you want? I'm busy.
Program, please!

For those who were planning on attending Dragon-Con, that's a bummer to hear that Bruce won't be there. Whatever the reason for his cancellation, I think we as fans all wish him the best and send good thoughts in support.
As for the tabloid/book thing, that one gets the big “whaat-ever” from me. It's probably just a rumor, the usual gossip hounds trying to stir up something. I wasn't aware that Bruce and Melissa were going through such a trying time, but whatever the actual truth of their private lives is or isn't, I really can't see Bruce being the type to pander to the mudslinging industry.
Not that anyone asked me, and, not fussing at anyone, just respectfully offering my two-cents here on the tabloids thing in general … I tend to think celebs should be allowed to have their own private lives respected, especially if they're going through something painful or difficult. If by some bizarre miracle John Q. Celebrity were to walk up to me someday and go, “Hey, here's what I'm going through...” then I'd offer a supportive ear and all, but until that day – which isn't gonna happen – I don't consider it my beeswax, and I'm fine with just sending a good thought and wishing them the best.
That said, I think the strongest show of respect and support we can give as fans is to refrain from speculation or gossip altogether, and to focus instead on positive encouragement and praise for an actor's work. Again, just my opinion.

Wow, what wonderful words of support for Bruce & Cindy. Always better to be positive and build someone up than to tear them down. You can bet that throughout their careers most celebrities/actors go through their ups & downs. I'm super happy that they made TRON Legacy and there's been a resurgence or a rediscovery of the original TRON & the creative people who made it.
On another note here's a video from the great Steven Sievers at Supa Pirate Booty Hunt of Cindy talking to the woman dressed as Yori. Sort of Yori talking to Yori:

TBH w/you I'm not even sure who the audience for that would be. I suppose the same sort of people who act like it's a personal tragedy when some celebrity they've never met dies, or follows a celebrity wedding/pregnancy as if it's their own family member?
I think celebrity privacy depends on their own behavior. Obviously corruption and such needs to be outed, and if a celeb acts in a private manner, I'm all about it. (The only thing that annoys me are the people who want to be able to pick and choose which parts of their lives are private and then use the rest publicly for their own gain... like the politicians who'll parade their family around to prove how wonderful and wholesome they are as if it's all about whose wife is prettiest and whose kid has the cutest gap in their teeth, but then when there's some scandal they shriek about how family shouldn't be brought into elections).where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion What do you want?
