I really like this line in the movie when Kevin Flynn tells Sam
"You're really messing with my Zen thing man"

So is the Zen just like his deep powerful meditation ?

My interpretation of the line in the movie is this:

KFlynn has been working for "about a thousand cycles" to concentrate himself, live an austere life and meditate - thus denying Clu the "power" that Clu had gained whenever Flynn fought against Clu directly. KFlynn would call it his "Zen" state. In that state, he has moved beyond hopes and wants and simply "exists"

KFlynn realized that withdrawing from the fight, neither fighting against Clu, nor supporting the resistance directly was the most effective thing he could do. Clu *is* KFlynn and thus Clu can counter almost anything that "young"KFlynn could have come up with. Non-Action was the only recourse for KFlynn because Clu would not understand it. Non-action was the only way to resist without making Clu stronger.

KFlynn's remark is because Sam's arrival and the youthful insistence on "action" has upset the balance/equilibrium that KFlynn and Clu had settled in to. Quorra has been injured, Kevin's lost his disc to Clu and the balance that had been maintained has been upset.

Sam's insistence on escaping and fighting makes it impossible for Kevin to resume his position of Non-Action. Thus, Sam has messed with Kevin's "Zen-Thing"

That is also the moment when Kevin decides that "Action" is required because balance is now impossible. He abandons non-action (Zen) in favor of Sam's plan.

So on one hand, it's an exasperated statement of a frustrated parent, on another it's a moment of philosophical reversal.

As far as non-violent action: I don't subscribe to it 100%. There are times when all a person will understand is a swift kick in the teeth. Being too "nice" will just show them you're a pushover they can continue to walk on. That's why there are so many assholes in the world: nobody's willing to stand up and say "hey, that's not okay." Sometimes being the "bigger person" just makes you the bigger chump. And in future, that person may go on to be an asshole to someone who TOTALLY is unwilling or unable to fight back.

Besides, if somebody walks into my apartment intending to do me harm and I have a shotgun in my hand, there'll be action, but it sure as hell won't be non-violent. Sometimes violence is a sad but true reality. Perhaps not as often as it is used, but certainly sometimes.

I think simply the quote infers that Sam's actions at that point were making it a challenge for Kevin to maintain his peaceful Zen-like state; IOW, starting to piss Kevin off.
