Judging from hostility in the majority of those comments, I'd say that they are still pissed about Euro-Disney...
of course, everything about America seems to grate on their nerves.

Yeah I was thinking that very thought, I don't get how people keep saying it was an unsucessful movie?.......It made profit, even if it was 1 million or 100 million it still made money so it is therefore sucessful. Critics just see things like Transformers pulling in silly amounts of money within a week and instantly expect the same when they forget that transformers has been constantly around in one form or another since 1984 unlike Tron.

Definitely a lot of TRON hate in this article.
I think Joseph Kosinski is right. Making a sequel to TRON... more than 20 years after the first one, was not only tough, but hard to follow up as far as story. At the end of Legacy, it's kind of left on just a cliff hanger... you don't see what happens to the characters or anything, that's why TRON: The Next Day is so brilliant... because it perfectly sets itself up for a sequel with mentioning John Dillinger Jr., but apparently, he has potential with ENCOM, so he doesn't have to be a villain.
Honestly, I think TRON 3.0 (I'll call it for the time being...) has so much more potential than TRON: Legacy did.
