So when the original light bike concept test came out...the one featuring Jeff Bridges and which won studio funding for the Tron:Legacy feature.....someone out there immediately set it to Michael Jackson's Beat It and posted it on Youtube. It was pure GENIUS and synched up perfectly with the chase! Since the original concept short basically lacked music, this added a pulse-pounding and catchy aural element to the footage. Go check it out on Youtube and you'll love it! Do a search for TRON and BEAT IT. And no, I didn't post a link. If you can't find that on your own then you're just too dumb to be allowed anywhere near a computer.

So my question is this: what music or song of your choosing would you set that concept test to, and what music would you set the Legacy light cycle contest to? This should be interesting.

Obscure reference: some guys in the eighties set the Experimental Products song "Glowing in the Dark" to a very short, heavily edited version of the original Tron movie and it served spectacularly well as the song's unofficial video. But since no one has heard of Experimental Products and they were considered obscure even in their day, everything I just typed was probably a total waste of bandwidth. Hear a sample of the song on iTunes if you must. Good tune.

FYI, I just finished training as an EMT, and they told us that when you are doing CPR, the chest compressions are done at a rate of 100 per minute. Oh! Oh! I got it:: Anne Clark's "Sleeper in Metropolis", a hard-driving techno song from the eighties about alienation in the modern world. No idea how it synchs with the visuals exaqtly but I think this is one of the best matches I can pull out of m...um, I mean come up with. Try it. No Youtube video but at least you can dl or sample the song on iTunes. If you like it, you'll want to buy it. Those who are into Tron will undoubtedly be enamored of this song.
