and let's say it was sized to fit you and look good for your body type, would you wear it in the real world and where? I am talking here about the jump/body suits rather than Bridges' robes or Castor's getup. Maybe some of what we saw in the EOL club.
Me...? I think I'd hit some club and be seen in it for a while with it off, let a buzz get going about what I was up to and does it light up for real? Then I'd hit the floor and flick the switch. When I'd enter the space, everything would change. The sense of awe would be...........palpable. I would OWN that club in one song or less.

I would wear the Sam Flynn version of this if I could afford it:

I would just have to find some way of making the designs light up!

MCP, my girlfriend and I have one of each and its definetly the pride of my collection. Not only because its one of the few tron items you can take into the public and turn heads (instead of provoking chuckles). Its amazingly comfortable, the print is screened and is almost never perfectly center, but boy does it glow. The hoodie itself is very soft and warm, well worth its weight without the tron glow print. I highly reccomend it.
I frequently shop threadless and periodically they will slash prices (im guessing when inventory is too high). I ordered two of the Tron aqua hoodies for $35 each, + $10 2nd day shipping, was worried it would not arrive in time for the Legacy debut, but they did.
$80 for tron hoodies just in time to see the movie opening night = win!
Putting your girlfriend into Tron clothing that you adore = winning! (distasteful reference?)
On a side note, treadless has slashed the price on the printed t-shirt $15 cut to $10, hoodies are still $45, its worth it, although im going to wait for another price cut before i order two sark hoodies

As a former motorcyclist, I must say. Thats a damm good price for a street legal suit. I'm sure it won't hold up against a Dianese full suit, but I'd bet its worth a few falls and low-sides at least.
Although in retrospect. I have been keeping a close eye on this suit, and the Parker Brothers light cycle replica. I'm not happy with the end product as the concepts and prototypes we saw last year were way more impressive. The original concept for the suit DID light up. My best guess is that the electronics were removed for safety and cost.
During production on Legacy, Garrett and Olivia ended getting zapped all the time from the circuitry in the suits. Albeit, leather and a higher density are a wise approach at correcting this, but electronics in the movie suits were extremely finicky, on seperate power sources, and went out constantly due to movement. I daresay alot of R&D needs to go into the practical application of EL tape/wire on wearable suits before they can purchased publicly.
And to touch base on the light cycle. As cool as it is, the thing clearly cannot turn at all. Anything faster than 30-40mph and you will most definitely have a high velocity faceplant. Its got too huge a wheelbase and not much of a sidewall on those "custom hubless wheels".
I know they are a chopper shop, but a rice'ier motor would have been more appropriate. This thing sounds like a lawnmower-powered go cart with the chopper block. And now im just ranting.
Sigh... the constraints of the real world. Can it ever be awesome and real?
