Many of us are familiar with what made Batman, well, Batman.
It was the murder of his parents that turned him into Batman.
So here's a question for you people. If Batman had the chance would he kill the man that killed his parents?
Many years he's fought crime, but he hasn't he killed someone on purpose.
I am excluding "The Dark Knight Returns" & "Dark Knight Strikes Again"
The only Miller comic books I consider to be Batman are "Year One" and The All Star Series.
What do you think he would do? Many comics offer Joe Chill as the murderer, but in many others the murderer is unknown.
If you want to take Batman Begins into context, did you think he would have pulled the trigger, if Falcone's people hadn't killed Chill first?

Good question!
I think in the old Dark Knight comics and the graphic novels which were
more for adults. He did kill people right?
Batman was a killer.. and lurked in the dark.
Also Joker was very sinister and evil I think in the graphic novels..
he would mutilate and kill people in horrible ways..
the pages were filled with blood and gore...
I wish I could read those .. i mean i only heard of them.
As for Joe Chill.. I think he intended to kill him..
but then once he went to talk to Falcone...

MCP, you're right. He used to carry a gun in the 1930's comics.

Let's not forget that in Final Crisis, he did shoot Darkseid with the intent to kill (if I'm not mistaken).
My take is that he would be sorely tempted to kill the man who killed his parents, but wouldn't.
If he did? He would probably retire as Batman and promptly be killed by The Joker, since I think it's his no killing stance that is soley keeping the Joker from killing him off
