Early Buzz from Private Screening for Critics/press..

on Friday, November, 19, 2010 2:54 AM
Poster via twitter:

Philip DeFranco: " Omfg Tron was great. Everything new was a great addition. Olivia Wilde and Jeff Bridges are fantastic. But Michael Sheen shines brightest."

Peter Rallis: " Just got back from Tron Legacy. That movie is incredible! I've seen nothing like it before ever! And it was cool to see @PhillyD there "

Beau Garret (plays the Siren, Gem): "Just saw tron. Holy shit. Get ready."

Sounding pretty dang good so far it seems...

Note that a year or two ago Peter Rallis in one of his movie preview buzz shows on Youtube he was giving a negative impression after seeing the VFX test footage and implying he could not care less for TRON.... Sure seems to have drastically changed his view on it now... LMAO.

"The film is about finding human connection in an increasingly digital world." - Joseph Kosinski

I hope the critics fall in love with TL. What movies will it be up against?

Also, has Sam Flynn found more work after this film? If so, that is a good sign!

If you mean actor Garrett Hedlund, yes he co-stars in Gwyneth Paltrow's next film premiering in January.

I wonder if that is him singing or an overdub?

Not a whole lotta competition. TL's going up against True Grit, Narnia 3, Yogi Bear (ugh), and Gulliver's Travels staring Jack Black (.....yeah..). So, yeah, TL's gonna do gangbusters next month.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pillwhere to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows opens this week, Tangled next week, Voyage of the Dawn Treader two weeks after that, then Tron Legacy. It doesn't have any direct competition opening that week other than Yogi Bear (which looks like an atrocity), but the others are sure to be still getting good numbers.

Unfortunately, the following week Gulliver's Travels, Little Fockers (Meet the Parents 3) and True Grit are all opening, all of which will be heavy competition.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pillabortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

That's him singing - a lot of the reviews are singling out his song on the soundtrack as being the best and most authentic on the album. He's also getting lots of great buzz for his performance, with many people saying he's the breakout character of the film.

He's also currently filming On The Road (based on the Jack Kerouac novel), which is directed by Walter Salles who made The Motorcycle Diaries. It's also being produced by Francis Ford Coppola who has held onto the rights since the 70's, waiting until he had the perfect cast and director. Garrett's playing Dean Moriarty who, if you know anything about American literature, is considered one of the most complex and iconic characters ever written. The role was once coveted by Marlon Brando.

Oh, and on topic lol, Beau Garrett also tweeted her reaction to the screening:

I hope this isn't a repeat of Tron 2.0 though. Got nothing but rave reviews from critics and it got tons of nominations, but still amounted to mediocre sales. Never did understand what went wrong there.

Found the full song(not a short clip) on the movie's flash website music player in the corner. Press the skip button to about the fourth song if you want to hear Garrett sing.

At this point, I think it's safe to say that Tron Legacy will DEREZ it's competition. I remember last year when it was announced that Saw VII:3D was originally going to come out around the same time as Tron Legacy - looks like Jigsaw couldn't wait and the Saw folks saw wise to release Saw VII months before. Wonder if that 3D Smurf movie is still trying to compete against Tron Legacy?

Fighting for TRON, The USERS, Both Flynns, Independents, and the mighty ISOs since '82.

I saw that video soon after it was posted and IMO that guy is an oboxious ass. I have had no use for "movie critics" ever since siskel and ebert trashed JFK not because it was a badly made film, but because the plot didn't tow the government line. Is there a "movie critic" school or certification? Why anyone would want some loudmouthed knob, that you don't even know, determining what is good and what is bad for everyone else is beyond me.

The best thing everyone can do is just go to TL (or any movie for that matter) without expectations. If you set the bar too high you will sit there distracted while wanting and waiting for certain things that may not appear in the movie, resulting in disappointment in a movie you might have otherwise enjoyed..

Imbroglio has a good point. In addition, considering this thread has to do with incoming critical reviews and all, try to avoid reviews before and the day of Tron Legacy's release. Whether positive or negative, they subliminally kind of "force" you to accept their stance on the film as "right". It doesn't help critics have the mass media on their side to spread their writings, giving the added onus of the bandwagon effect in either case.

So for example, I plan to go see this film without reading any in-depth reviews. Depending on how I feel about the movie after seeing it myself, only then will I look to other reviews to see and share what others thought. But by going in "untainted" in my opinions, I stand a good chance of enjoying the movie based on MY criteria. And in this world, isn't what matters to you the most important?

Why use Norton AV or AVG to protect your computer when you could be using TRON instead!?

What, are you crazy? We live in a consumerist society. We're supposed to like whatever the guys with the big bucks tell us we're supposed to like.

I think that Narnia 3 would be the only thing closest to competition just simply because it's been established and a movie IP, but since both are from Disney, and Disney is promoting TRON above anything else, I wouldn't be surprised if we hear about it as the biggest hit movie this December. I'll project that... and if that is the case, we should be seeing two more TRON movies... So.. yeah... Looking forward to this. order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

I disagree. I have freedom of choice. No one is going to force me to like anything I don't want too.... that is, unless government gets too big... but if that happens, I'm coming out shooting.abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion
