Traahn Wrote:The classic intro being used, where the pieces go flying into Tron or a character looking like Tron. (Updated using present-day CGI in each movie incarnation, of course.) I think that should be the trademark for Tron for every Tron movie that gets made, never to be changed. Like the rolling credits off-into-space are for Star Wars intros.
When you see this intro, you know you're about to go on a Tron journey. |

I agree with you 1000%. Let me apologize in advance for this long list- while I am looking forward (CAUTIOUSLY, I might add) to Tron Legacy, there's still some very iconic moments from the first film that I'd like to see referenced, as I know they can't exactly and shouldn't exactly be duplicated verbatim:
*A really cool, memorable, and ICONIC opening sequence with a cool title animation much like the first film*
*A really cool, memorable and ICONIC opening theme song-I'm really trying to get into Daft Punk, but to me, personally, I will ALWAYS associate Wendy Carlos' score with TRON - just like I associate John Williams' theme with STAR WARS. To me, John Williams' and Wendy Carlos' respective scores were perfectly intrinsic and fitting to their respective films*
*SOME incorporation of Wendy Carlos' original score in the new Daft Punk score/soundtrack - I am actually editing a class project video for my Wife's class, and let me tell you - editing to Wendy Carlos music, is CHALLENGING. Why? Because alot of the original Tron score is in time signatures like 7/8 and 7/7, (playing those is challenging, too - I can verify that personally), unlike Daft Punk's music, which is the standard 4/4. No diss to Daft Punk, but just pointing something out*
*A scene where Sam releases he's been digitized, akin to the scene in TR1N where Flynn looks at his arm and sees the glowing blue circuits*
*A comparable, iconic, and awesome digitizing sequence, as well as the entry into the electronic world - I agree with the one poster who talked about the tunnel/kaleidoscope/digital world fly-over sequence. To me, that is one of the CLASSIC, and iconic cool factors about Tron - that sequence was even used in the Honda Tron commercial*
*A cool rez-in sequence*
*A cool lightcycle sequence, like in the first film where the programs hunch over and the lightcycles materialize in a way that encases them*
*Sam stealing a recognizer and clumsily piloting it - maybe in TRON LEGACY, Sam uses it to start striking back at Clu*
*Something akin to the ring game sequence from the first film where Flynn reluctantly fought against Crom, and Sark almost derezzes Flynn, until he hears the MCPs voice as a stream of consciousness*
*A scene similar to the one in the first where Flynn is prodded by the red guards, mentions parking tickets, and demands, "I wanna see the guy in charge!"*
*A scene where after the programs are assembled for combat, Sam says, "Who's that guy???", and then someone else says, "Him. . . that's Rinzler. Fiercest warrior in all the TRON system. He fights for Clu 2.0"*
*A replica of the 1st-Generation light cycle in Flynn's house - I know this is being nitpicky, but one thing I would have loved to have seen in the latest trailer in Sam Flynn's room are:
a)the Original TRON poster with Tron and Yori standing
on the ring under a beam of I/O Tower light;
b)A model or Toy of the 1st-Generation lightcycle and
Recognizer in Sam's room, along with the later, 1989-
generation ones that are already in the trailer - I
know, that scene has already been shot and edited;
*A scene where Quorra, much like Yori, does something big like when Yori commandeered the Solar Sailer - I'm thinking that Quorra commandeers a light runner (as in the trailer when she says, "Here they come") and uses it to get somewhere (an I/O Tower????) while fending off and derezzing Clu 2.0's lightcyclists*
*A sequence where Sam knocks out one of Clu 2.0's guards, touches the guard, and then changes the color of his circuits to blend in, just like Flynn did in the first movie *
*A believable, and plausible, common sense explanation (sans plot hole) of the following:
a)Tron - what happened to him, how and WHY he was
put into Flynn's server as he was originally native
to the ENCOM 511;
b)How Flynn was able to evolve TRON CITY (the name
of his new server) without an internet connection;
c)How he was able to contact Alan Bradley with a page
- I think that this may not be all that impossible, since
Flynn kept going in and out of this new server over
the past 20 years;
*A death scene of Clu 2.0 as equally awesome and cool as the death of Sark and the MCP*
*Some presence of Lora Bradley - yes, I know this may be a redundant thing to some, and I know the main focus is Sam and Kevin, but let's face it: There would be no Shiva laser or Flynn's later derivative without her expertise; maybe we see Flynn get some assistance from Lora when tinkering with the laser in a flashback sequence, maybe even if it is a phone call*
*A mention of Dr. Gibbs - maybe a shot of the inside of ENCOM with a wall of pics of former employees/founders, incl. Dr. Walter Gibbs and Ed Dillinger*
*Some reference to Dillinger - even if it's a line like this:
CLU 2.0
Old fool, I see staying cooped up in that safe house of yours, has kept you out of touch with reality. Did you not forget you programmed me with special offensive abilities?
FLYNN
Did you not forget your first version was derezzed after you failed to raid that memory sector for me? You failed me once, Clu, and you're going to fail again - just like Dillinger and the MCP.
SAM
And we'll make certain of that!
QUORRA
Prepare for immediate derezzing, null unit!!!!!!
*A scene where Sam and Quorra are on the run, much like when Tron and Yori were sneaking into the I/O Tower*
*A kicka$$ fight sequence - I've heard that there will be a HUGE fight scene in the End of Line Club with Flynn, Quorra, Sam and several other programs getting caught in the crossfire *
*A scene where Sam meets a program like Ram, who breaks down why Sam is there *
*A popcorn scene, or some other thing - I'm doing a fanfic , and there's a scene where ginger root replaces the popcorn, LOL!!!!!*
In the end, while I am excited about Tron Legacy, I hope that it is as memorable and iconic an addition to the Tron lore, as the first film was. We'll see in 2 months and 13 days.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion
