Tron series & Myst series

on Wednesday, July, 28, 2010 12:31 AM
Tron does have some similarities to the Myst franchise. Programmers = D'ni, Servers = Ages, Program code = The Art, Digitizing Laser = Linking Book.

In the Myst franchise the D'ni were constantly debating whether the Ages they link to were of their own creation or already in existence. Atrus held the belief that the Ages were already there, and that the Art was just a way to link there. While his father and two sons believed they created these worlds. In the Riven guide book it had an section that suggested that there are infinite parallel universes. So any possibility or variant that could exist, does exist in one of the infinite parallel universes. Maybe, the Tron franchise is based on this idea. That's why Flynn said he was about to change science, medicine, religion. Also in the idea that Flynn was having visions of the computer world before he went there.

No, I think Flynn has just created a powerful quantum computer. He's unlocked the powers and secrets of quantum physics and computing.

Thanks for the memories of Myst and Riven...

Yeah. Those games and the ones that followed have hours of memories associated with them. They just sucked me in. It was easy to forget how much time passed when playing them. Another franchise that needs to be re-rezzed.

Wow.. I remember back in the day playing Myst... They made a parody game called Pyst. It was what the island became after millions of adventures came to visit.. lol.. Trash everywhere, RV trailers, neon signs.. It was really funny but didn't go over so well..

I didn't play Riven till sometime after 2003. That was a good sequel.

My personal favorite was Zork: Nemesis. I miss those point-and-click adventure games.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Nostalgia... It's a powerful thing. It's what brought Tron back.

I wouldn't say that TRON was based off Myst, it seems to be that Myst was based off of Tron. Even though I haven't played the game, it looks interesting. Also, the game came out in 1993, while TRON came out a good decade before hand, 1982.

Just had to point that out, because to me, seemed like you where comparing TRON to Myst. where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

I wasn't suggesting that Tron was based off of Myst. Rather that, Tron's new direction may be based off of the theme of infinite parallel dimensions. And noticing similar themes. More than likely Myst's structure was from an artist and programmer's point of view, being that's what the creators of the game do. That's more than likely why Tron's structure has simularities to Myst. Their worlds are made by the same kind of people.abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion
