Is it going to be on a server online, or a computer at home using IIS or Apache at home for the web services? With ASP, php, mysql, and html? And using something like Joomla or drupal as a content management services for taking care of it? Makes life a lot simpler for creating documents online without a lot of coding on the back side.

As for the name specifically of what you want to call it for the tron legacy and evolution is a up in the air from me over here.

That sucks. I haven't gotten a virus or trojan through the six years I've been there. I wonder what's up with that. Those ads and dead accounts on deviantart has always bugged me, and their prints service is a rip off(glad I don't use it).

Hey Trontastic. Sorry I didn't get to you early enough. Someone just told me to check on this.

We must think alike because I actually did use Flynn's-Arcade. There was also one really old club back in the early days of DA called Space-Paranoids or something simliar, but no one payed attention to it.

Anyways I know Tron-Sector was suppose to be moving servers and removing html linking, so you'll have to bear with me. Just look up "Flynn's Arcade" in the group search bar and you will find it.

Feel free to contribute and have fun. I used goofy writing to try to make it related to the Arg that's going on. Meanwhile, I'm going to change my avatar to the one I use on Tron-Sector.:P

I just started using VIPRE anti-spyware software and they've been blocking all ads on websites(including DA) and I have not had any trouble since then.

It's not the filters in the search that are the problem. It's the users that aren't following the submission rules and lazy users who aren't reporting them. Every three days I report 20+ misplaced art submissions, content violations, and art theft. Luckly they're actually listening to me so it helps curb the waste. I've been using deviantart since 2005, so I know what it's like to watch a website go through a lot of changes.

The viruses have nothing to do with DA itself. In fact DeviantArt top staff has been investigating the companies that have been violating their use agreements on the panel ads. If you run into a pop-up ad or virus, report it to the staff. Being lazy won't help anyone progress.

Sure there's a lot of "crap" on the site and I'd personally prefer to use my own online portfolio/website for my work because of that reason. Only thing though, for everyone else who doesn't have the time to write, design, and pay/host their own website, where are they going to upload their art?

Another thing you might come across is "what is art?" This is quite a tough one to answer.
