Neat points that are brought up in the interview

*"Our approach is not like "Avatar," which I think is 3-D from the first shot to the last. Ours is sort of a "Wizard of Oz" approach. Ninety-eight percent of the 3-D is in the world of "Tron." The 3-D really starts once we get into the Tron world."

*The 3D camera used in the movie is a newer generation of the camera James Cameron developed and used in Avatar.

*The Tron Legacy Concept Trailer takes place before the events in the film. Could this mean the blue program in the trailer is the same blue program in Tron Evolution trailer?

*The second version of Clu, "Clu 2" as Joe calls him, is "a second incarnation of Kevin's avatar." Joe said, "He doesn't only look like Jeff, but he can think like him too. So it's a whole new level of artificial intelligence."

*The movie would be either be rated PG or PG-13.

*He describe Bruce Boxleitner's role in the movie as "not at all a cameo or stunt casting". Alan (and hopefully Tron) will have a big part in the storyline.

*Daft Punk may very well use some of the original themes that Wendy Carlos wrote for Tron, however Joe noted that "if you hear any music from the original film, it will only be in the appropriate place." He doesn't want the film to be campy.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

So they're being Spy Kids 3D?

I'm still wondering why Kevin Flynn is locked up in a white room with a dead pig in it.

Maybe it'll be further explained in Evolution?

*The second version of Clu, "Clu 2" as Joe calls him, is "a second incarnation of Kevin's avatar." Joe said, "He doesn't only look like Jeff, but he can think like him too. So it's a whole new level of artificial intelligence."

That's interesting. So Clu isn't Kevin's personal haxor program, now he's a virtual version of Kevin Flynn?

*He describe Bruce Boxleitner's role in the movie as "not at all a cameo or stunt casting". Alan (and hopefully Tron) will have a big part in the storyline.

Awesome. I still wanna see the new live-action trailer they showed at comic con this year. Supposedly, it was Alan who was talking to Sean at the beginning.

*Daft Punk may very well use some of the original themes that Wendy Carlos wrote for Tron, however Joe noted that "if you hear any music from the original film, it will only be in the appropriate place." He doesn't want the film to be campy.

I really hope they have some original music, or at least some music in the style of the original music during the 1980's flashback scene. I also hope that the entire soundtrack isn't electronic-sounding. I'm mainly talking about the music in the real world scenes. Listen to the original TRON soundtrack to hear what I mean.

Sounds like their handling of the original movie as a story element is similar to Half Life 2's handling of the original Half Life.

This interview was posted twice in the Tron Legacy section.

1) I am sure TL is not going to look like or be like Spy Kids 3-D.

What Joe is saying in his own way is that the digital world is more fitting to expressing the 3-D in such a way that makes sense and serves the visuals, whereas the real world scenes the 3-D isn't emphazised per se, and not quite as important.

To jump to conclusions that it will look like or come off like frekkin' SpyKids 3-D is waay off IMO.

The whole movie is going to be in RealD and IMAX 3-D.

2) The proof of concept/test footage is NOT IN THE MOVIE. This has been said by Joseph Kosinski many times.

3) The roast pig on Flynn's table is *inconsequential*, and Kevin Flynn's abode in the digital world in the test footage is unimportant as well.

I am pretty certain those elements and the test footage has no bearing on the actual movie's storyline or backstory.

4) Kosinski isn't going to spoil "Clu 2's" purpose or his abilities in an interview. I think that will be revealed in Tron Legacy. So "Clu 2" may still have his own hacking skills.

Clu was already partially a virtual version of Flynn in the original movie, as he loooked like him in the digital world.

5) In the footage shown at last SD Comic Con 2009:
Alan Bradly calls Sam Flynn and tells him he recieved a phone call from Flynn's Arcade (caller ID i guess) that's been shut down for years.
Sam then goes to visit the old, boarded up arcade and goes in....etc etc...

I wasn't saying it'd look like that thing (I refuse to call it a movie). I was saying that the 3D method sounded similar.

2) The proof of concept/test footage is NOT IN THE MOVIE. This has been said by Joseph Kosinski many times.

But what he's saying here is that the test footage trailer IS in-canon with the movie. He's saying that, in the TRON storyline, the events in the test footage did happen.

3) The roast pig on Flynn's table is *inconsequential*, and Kevin Flynn's abode in the digital world in the test footage is unimportant as well.

I dunno, maybe programs have decided that energy is bland in flavor and they prefer digital pork ribs now, lol.

Yes, but I think the idea in the original film was that when someone makes a program, their program looks just like them, but wearing all the glowing suits and whatnot.

Yes, that's what I was referring to. I'd kinda like to see it but unfortunately nobody seems to have been able to smuggle out any footage, lol.abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

MTV: "Will the finished film look pretty much like what we've seen in that test footage from Comic-Con?"

Kosinski: " I would say it's not far removed. The teaser, at least tonally, represented the direction I wanted to take it. That sequence actually doesn't appear in our film at all. It represents a period of time before our film begins.

We were able to refine the design of the light cycles, the characters, the world and kind of flesh it out to a much higher level of detail than we were able to do for the test. What we're going to see in the film will feel a lot more photorealistic. They did that test with eight or 10 people in a matter of months. We have thousands of people working on the film. It's a whole different scale. "

" It represents a period of time before our film begins."

I think he is speaking in terms of visual style, the vibe and themes, and he may not be speaking about it terms of canonical story elements.

While it *represents* a particular period of time, it does not mean those exact events happened in terms of story canon.

No one at SD Comic Con could record that footage, if caught, that person will be kicked out of Comic Con,
they loose their badge (no refund) and have the electronic device they used taken, and not returned until it's been erased of all data such as all photos and videos on it wiped.

That person is *not* allowed to re-enter the convention at all. Any media professionals that record something that is forbidden to be recorded or photographed; that security catches, well that person can pretty much count on getting fired.

So with such a huge risk and major consequences, the risk isn't really worth it.

I am glad that it seems like Alan Bradly and Tron seem to have a important roles to the story and not just a quick cameo or just a small stunt thing.

That is one of the few characters in anything who's named Alan (my real name) which I thought was pretty dang cool.
