I'm trying to find out the name of the green typeface is used in the movie credits. It's also used on the Tron posters.
I have ran into one called Platform that's similar but it's not it.

Nope, not it either. It is inspired by the LCD calculator style, but it's not segmented up. I may have to recreate the whole thing myself via an online site called fontstruct.

A few months ago went through a few font sites looked at potentially thousands of fonts, I'll see if I recognize it..

The only connection I've found is that the original font in tron was made by Paul Albers. The Star Trek fonts he made resembles the one you're looking for, most likely they'll be tough to find, but maybe you'll get lucky. I've looked through all the star trek fonts, no matches.. of course.
edit: I see the credits for the Tron font are Syd Mead, so I'm confused as to which belongs to which. Syd's may be the computer world, Paul's may be the ones in the credits.
edit:I see Sinistar's wiki credits Paul with the Tron truetype font seen on font sites, however I'd like to point out he made the star trek font which has many identical resemblances to the credits at the end of Tron. He's the person you need to contact to find this particular font.

for what it's worth, I do see very thin LCD type segments on the larger font of the screen credits..

Look very closely at this font, I believe I've found the exact match. The characters w/o the strike look very identical to me.
