I'm guessing most of you have heard the conspiracy theory about Micheal Jackson in Sonic, but for those who haven't:

Sega supposedly originally hired Micheal Jackson to compose the Sonic 3 soundtrack, and he did the full soundtrack. But it was dropped in favor of an alternate soundtrack composed by composer Brad Buxer after the press went ape over that child incident. But some of the tracks in Sonic 3's final soundtrack sounded a lot like some Micheal Jackson songs. Examples:

Carnival Night Zone = Jam
Credits = Stranger in Moscow
Ice Cap Zone = Who Is It?
Knuckles Theme = In the Closet

Today, Micheal Jackson fan magazine "Black & White" had an interview with Sonic 3's sound designer Brad Buxer, who says that Micheal Jackson did, in fact, compose the entire soundtrack heard in the game. He did not want his name used in the game because he did not want his name associated with the poor sound quality of the Genesis.

But he DID compose the soundtrack you hear in the game. That's pretty awesome.
