I just finished watching the movies for the first time. Loved them.

I honestly think that Bungie "borrowed" a LOT of stuff from Aliens for Halo. In fact, they admitted that Sgt. Johnson is based on Sgt. Apone.

In Lord Of The Rings online we're now able to explore the Foundations Of Stone (which if you're a nerd, you recall from the book is where Gandalf and the Balrog fell to).
They have these "nameless" creatures there that look pretty darn close to the Alien. They also tend eggs that grow just like they did in the derelict ship, even with the little haze effect around them.
An obvious Homage to the Alien series.

Just watched Space Balls, and totally forgot about the chestbuster scene LOL. ALso, I remember a TV special by the puppeteers who made the "land of Confusion" video. There was an audience scene, where a chestbuster was going thru people trying to get to the right row.
