Wall-E

on Saturday, June, 28, 2008 2:24 PM
Just saw this movie yesterday. Very detailed and well done, like most Pixar films, hehe.

Anyone else see it? It takes place in the future, where the Earth is filled with trash and everyone has left. There's this one robot on the planet, and he has to clean everything up, but he's lonely. It's hard to explain the storyline without spoiling too much of anything. It's a great movie, though, definitely check it out if you haven't already.

Wasn't there a Wall-e Movie a number of years ago with the same name for a robot like that?? For some reason the robot looks familar for some silly reason. Maybe i had seen it in a sci-fi convention before it was actually produced.

Although he does kinda look like the beloved Johnny 5, the creators said their inspiration for Wall-E's design was a pair of binoculars and I think a lamp of some sort. If you look at his head it does look like a pair of binoculars! lol

I LOVED THAT MOVIE SO MUCH.

I think I said "Aww" a bit more than the little kids in the theatre, but um.... I'm a sucker for robot romance and stuff...

Plus, I mean, this was like Idiocracy for little kids. Did anyone else have that feeling? The opening sequence with all the garbage piled and stuff...it was /all/ Idiocracy.

With robots. Which made it instant love for me...lol

Anyway, yeah. If you haven't seen the movie, see it. SEE IT NOW. No, not later on...NOW. DO IT NOW.

Well, Pixar was originally founded by some animators for TRON that really liked CGI animation.

What's-his-face-who-directs-a-lot-of-Pixar-movies I think was a lead CGI animator for TRON. Him and several other animators for TRON felt inspired by the use of CGI animation, so they left Disney and founded Pixar.

I love all Pixar films; The Incredibles or Wall-E being my favorite. order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

The Incredibles was an epic win. I love how they didn't use a modern day time period, I'm guessing it took place in the 50's? The opening sequence and music for that was alos win

Heck yeah. The guy who did the soundtrack for The Incredibles also did the new sountrack for the Disneyland Space Mountain ride, which was AWESOME.

I don't think The Incredibles used a particular time period. Wikipedia says the time period may have been timeless.

I'm guessing the time period is 50's 60's for two resons:
1) the music
2) The cars
3) Some of the style of clothes
4) Style of things in general
5) In the "heyday" of Mr. Incredible, tv was black and white (of course that could be anywhere between 20-60 ish) Also, people dressed in the 30s style
I could be entirely wrong but I based my guess by these observences (gah can't spell today)

I remember Johnny 5 from Short circuit and short Circuit 2. I thought that there was already a movie with this little rascal before this one. I guess I must have a missing block of memory that has a 0 instead of a 1 in it for recalling it.
