This is our new short film, 'Outer Space Aliens... From OUTER SPACE!'.

It's a parody of Ed Wood's sci-fi horror flick, 'Plan 9 From Outer Space'. For those of you who haven't seen it, it's widely regarded as the worst film of all time, and features wooden acting, bad dialogue and terrible special effects.

We shot it almost entirely on greenscreen in a day, and I edited over three weeks. It's a terrifying story of aliens who attempt to destroy Planet Earth, narrated by the future-obsessed Amazing Criswell, with only slightly better acting and effects than the 1959 original!

Yup - you got it! We were going for that 'good in a bad way' feeling, just like the original film, which is a masterpiece of terrible cinema.

Oh man - that was awful! I mean it was really bad, but good-bad, not bad-bad. It was bad as in it made me laugh several times. Yeah - you guys hit your mark very well. Bullseye, I might say... but if I did, you wouldn't hear it, so I'll just type it instead.

I never saw Plan 9 From Outer Space, but I'm familiar with its notorious badness. I've seen a few clips of it and leaned a little about Ed Wood in a documentary some time back. Never saw the film about him with Johnny Depp, but it's on my list of stuff to see eventually.

I love how you had one of the characters die in the middle of a scene and then get replaced by someone who looked completely different. That's very Plan 9-ish and I got the gag immediately! I know Bela Lugosi died before Plan 9 was finished and got replaced by a really tall guy. That was Plan 9, right? One of Wood's films if not that one.

I loved the use of special effects too. You did bad-effects, right! Very nice use of bad effects! Loved the running down the road bit, flying saucer on a string, nipple-censor-bar, non-function radio, etc. Yeah - you guys did so much right in this. Very nice. Oh - did you ever get those problems with the ball ironed out?

I also detected a bit of Monty Python style humor in there, if I'm not mistaken. Was that intentional or just you're particular style of humor? It worked for me, whatever you call it. Oh - loved the ray guns too.

Ok, 'nuff. I liked it. It cracked me up pretty good. Great job, guys.

I gave you a 5-star there for your latest, but didn't comment because I logged in using a super-duper, top-secret, blew it up after logging out, account. Actually, I didn't blow it up, I just blew my nose.

Maybe you should make more like this in the futuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure... urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre... urrrrrrrrrrrrrre...

Yup - that was Plan 9! You're the only person to get that joke, and you haven't even seen the film!

Really? That was just our own humour in there! But if you thought it was as good as Monty Python, then that's great! The ray guns were just made out of plumbing bits and an old lamp we found in the garage. Which is probably not too different to how they were made for the original film...
