I don't have an Xbox 360 nor Halo 2 (I just have Halo PC), but nevertheless my brothers and I went to the Best Buy in Tampa to stand in line to check out the game. Unfortunately, they wouldn't let people go into the store unless they were buying the game, so we left early...
BUT...
My friend has it and I'm hoping I'll come over to his house soon to play it!

Same here.
I'd have bought the pre-sell for Halo 2 PC and picked it up the day it came out if it didn't require Vista, which is completely rediculous.
That's okay though, because The Orange Box, Crysis, UT3, Enemy Territory Quake Wars, and TimeShift cometh, so I'll live.

I could pick up Halo 1 and halo 2 for my Xbox. But since I don't have the money right now for that. And since Halo 3 is just for the PC or the XBOX 360. it is a no go for me over here. Since it will not work in the original XBOX. Oh by the way did I mention here. That I start working for IBM tomorrow at their help desk support. For their laptops an pc's.

Halo 3 is only for the XBOX 360. Halo 2 was at long last released for the PC earlier this year...but only for Vista.

I think when I get a chance next month I will try and pic up both halo 1 and 2 and maybe Doom3 for my xbox over here. Once I have the money coming in.

I have Halo 1 for both PC and XBOX and HALO 2 for the XBOX. hopefully soon I'll get a hand on a copy of Halo 3

Damn, this is the one console series that I really wish didn't take forever to get "ported" to the PC.
And that Vista requirement on Halo 2 still gets me annoyed.

I've enjoyed the hell out of this game!
Storyline-wise, it's pretty good. There is an ending and you do officially finish the fight set up way back in the original game.
But it's the tip of the iceburg!
You've not seen a multi-player game until you've seen Halo 3!
Four people can play through the entire campaign together and you can even set up a competition of 2 on 2 to see who can get the most points.
Then, in basic online multiplayer, you've got so many options it's ridiculous!
From customizable armor (including unlockable pieces you get from various achievements) to the ability to play back your campaign/multiplayer games IN THEIR ENTIRETY from ANY ANGLE (including people who weren't on your team) to the ultimate - THE FORGE!
The Forge allows you to play a virtual "wizards' duel" between teams as you can create weapons, vehicles and equipment throughout your match - whatever you need at the time you need it!
Need a tank? Create one, drop it on your enemies, kill them, then load up in the tank and kick AYCE!
The awesome stuff you can do, from taking screenshots and video clips to downloading them to your personal spot on Bungie.net and even saving them to your PC as wallpaper or avatars makes this game a MUST-HAVE for FPS fans!
Easily worth the price and easily the best game out right now...until Mass Effect, that is!
Have you seen the money this thing made? It's broken all records for the most amount of money made by any entertainment thing in one day and in one week!
