Well...you could always buy a 360 if you feel that strongly about it.
Or, you could get MAME and either make or buy an arcade style controller with the spinner and stuff, then you'd be good to go.

I actually think it's cool that the Tron games are showing up on ANY system, regardless of whether or not it's on a system I own. I mean, because of this new people are getting exposed to a couple of GREAT games and hopefully they'll discover the movie, realize how great that is, and maybe just maybe create enough buzz that Disney will actually remove it's micky-mouse-eared head out of it's ass and make a damn SEQUEL ALREADY!!!!

Until they release the original TRON arcade game and Discs of TRON for the PC, I'll likely never get to play them on any system. None of the "new generation" (or current gen. as seems) consoles will likely make it in to my home.
In the meantime, I'll play them on my MAME emulator. I'd buy a PC release of them in a micro-cycle if they were ever released for the PC though. I'm pretty sure it would be very easy money for Disney - almost no development (just a good emulator), use the original source code (which I'd be VERY happy with) and release it. So long as my old, slow computer could run it at full frame rate, etc., I'd be very happy.

I agree with you todd. I have a very old computer that I am playing tron 2.0 on as well. If they ever did release the source code for people like ourselves here the fans of it to really make some headway in keeping tron more up to speed with what we like in it. Whether its the original tron, DOT, Tron 2.0 or all three in one package. And we could tweak all three to where it is playable on a bare, bare minimal system and it would as well as a full blown gaming machine with the wizzy wahzoo gizmos on it. And maybe have it as a cross platform for other OS's like linux as a example. (I know I know I'm into linux too much.)

I got a PS3, after years and years of no console. I gave up after the Dreamcast, as I'm sure I've said here before. I must say I have some high hopes for the PS3 and so far I've had a lot of fun on it; which is abnormal b/c I'm typically a PC guy. I've just been waiting for the consoles to reach a point where their graphics and framerates impress me, and they're finally there I think with the PS3. There might not be many good games out for it yet, but I think we will be pleasantly surprised with some really cool titles.
As for Tron and Discs of Tron, I'm a little bummed. At first word of the news, I was hoping it meant new, next-gen Tron games were in the works. Instead, we have the old arcade classics it sounds like. Don't get me wrong. I really want to be able to play the classics, but I really want a next-gen title, like Tron 2.0, only Tron (the original in video game form), or Tron 3.0, you know? I actually thought it would be a shoe-in for Tron 2.0 to have an easter egg where you could unlock the old Tron / Discs of Tron arcade-style games, but alas. I mean, how hard would it have been to throw those in? Oh well. I digress...

The only two things that would make me buy a next gen console:
1) If SEGA released a new console (kinda unlikely, maybe?)
2) Shenmue III.
