Wasn't "Disney Interactive" their first name to start with? LOL

If it helps them with making patches to TRON 2.0, then I'm all for it.

Me too. At least Disney should support Tron 2.0.

I'm cold and calculating. Don't press my buttons.

LOL . . . like Mr. Sinistar said, they've just gone back to their original name. But hopefully there's more going on behind the scenes, than a simple name change.

Under the current management, all of Disney is being restructured to emphasize the core Disney name and brand.

Kinda scary for me, to be honest.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pillwhere to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Great Article TronFAQ. I think the decision might be based on the worldwide corporate discovery that name and brand recognition is basically free advertising. If someone sees a game from BVG, they might go... "Hrmm....", but if they key in on the name Disney than all sorts of things pop into their minds.

My company tried a brand and name recognition push for a while; even to the point suggesting that we shamelessly bring up our company name at parties and family get togethers. However, because of the nature of our product, it remains relatively obscure.

Frankly, I foresee a lot of companies following suit. It used to be before that you’d be like “Oh I didn’t know Coke made that product…” but I bet that will change.

Your article makes it sound as if Desperate Housewives was bad. Next best thing to Twin Peaks, it is.

Nah, I wasn't even thinking about the TV show when I wrote it. I guess I could have made that clearer, in retrospect. I was strictly talking about the game. And irrespective of how I feel about the game (or show), my criticism was to indicate that support has not improved even with a newer BVG title.

Maybe the first half of season one. However, now it's just another chick show.

Maybe, but I just calls 'em as I sees em. The show has become a "meat grinder" of story ideas that are basically tantamount to the same thing WEEK after WEEK

1) Empowered woman juggling being a mom and career.
2) Overbearing mom who can't control kids or personal life.
3) Woman with too many relationships jumps from man to man to man but cannot ever find Mr. Right.
4) Woman liberated from bad marriage who struggles to find herself in this madcap man run world.

You take this, and place a very small minuscule story arc underneath of it and you can get SEASONS worth of material from people who eat it up without thinking that the story itself is not advancing anywhere.

Sorry... I may agree with you on a lot of things, and respect you mightily for others... but one thing you will NEVER convince me of is that Desperate Housewives holds a torch to Twin Peaks.

Oh, and I do realize you may ask how I know about the show if I dislike it so much. I see many “chick shows” by default as my wife likes them, and I just like being in the same room with her, so end up being exposed to them.

I watched 96 & 1/2 hours of Desperate Housewives in 7 days. Now I'll concede that after the first season ended, a certain sense of mystery was lost. Once you resolve a mystery but continue to produce story, you move to a different kind of storytelling. The soap opera. Certain aspects will become dry and brittle. Of course, after about the 15th episode of Twin peaks, that show went to hell. A sad fact (brought about by production pressure) that must be remembered.

Now, you may disagree with the Twin Peaks comparison. It is of course your right to do so.. Though again I question the severity of your recent head injury. If you cannot recall the head injury in question, the severity of it becomes even more suspect.

A large difference between Twin Peaks and Desperate Housewives is pacing. What Twin Peaks took 15 episodes to do, Desperate Housewives takes 75. Not necessarily a plus or minus. Just different story telling directions.

But where they are similar... The primary function of both shows is to highlight the dark underbelly of humanity. Twin peaks is renowned for this achievement, and once I saw the episode of Desperate Housewives where an upper class housewife was holding a chinese slave prisoner in a secret room in her house and forcing her to constantly prepare 6 course meals for unsuspecting neighborhood wives, I realized that Desperate Housewives had succeeded in the same vein.

I resisted the show in question until a few months ago. I saw the occasional episode while in the room with my girlfriend. I originally dismissed it as a Sex in the City style program that held little appeal to me. After a while I realized that the standard "chick" show was never this dark, or this accurate, in it's portrayal of our neighbors.

You and I, we're hijacking your thread. But hey, it's your thread after all. order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

hehe this thread has gone slightly mental but anyway i think the TCDG should complain to disney about the crappy support for tron 2.0, maybe they'll help since they started the whole tron thing!

wow, I am absolutly not suprized that BVG closed the Desperate house wives forum. They've done it before with Tron why wouldn't they dumb up another one of their games.

They have serious issues with support for their games. They need a major re-structure and I hope they are actually going to do that.

They are a bunch of lazy@ss workers.

I'm cold and calculating. Don't press my buttons.

Well, to be fair to them (hah!), the forum only went down for a short time. It's still there. But it wouldn't have surprised me in the least, if the forum had disappeared permanently. And it will eventually. Just wait.
