Sad to see him go, but glad that he lived a long life... It's very rare for anyone to leave a legacy behind like Joe did. R.I.P. buddy and thanks so much for the fun.

Man - he created pretty much all the cartoon characters I grew up on!

I'l always remember Hanna-Barbera cartoons as being the masters of the repeating scrolling background. AWESOME art direction.

I've always loved the Hanna and Barbera drawing style. They worked with cut throat television budgets and made wonderful characters that will live on forever. Personal faves are Johnny Quest and The Jetsons. Is it wrong that I want my own bubble car? Ha ha ha! They made such neat sounds. In Advanced Illustration class, one of my projects, a food mascot (in my chase I made a group of 4 characters), I based off the Jetsons style. Oh yeah, love the Hong Kong Phooey character.

I love all those characters in the picture. Squiddly Diddly and Captain Caveman were cool, too. I can't remember that sharks name though. Can someone help me out?
