Ok So I was up late the other night. And I saw this new commecial from Civic. And I saw that they copied the intro to tron. Not only that but they copies the Light Cycle game grid almost exactly! They even have two people in tron costumes in it. The cars are shaped like normal cars. But they leave a trail of light behind!

Can they just rip of the whole tron world and use it in a commercial? DO you think the created of Tron even know this?

It's interesting how tron still has a lasting impact to today. If only there were some way to make another one.

The irony with that, Hikaru-- does the search button even work? (Just saying that it'd be impossible to say something like that, y'know.)

I'm pretty sure it'd be hard to rip off Tron without anyone being aware of it now.

There is a small blurb about the commercial in the new 3Dworld Magazine. I've been lazy but I will get it posted up on here. It gives a little insight how they did the visuals. FYI for the impatient, the commercial was animated in Maya.
