We all know the disc trumps all the other weapons in the game, but I think each one has a purpose. I'm fond of the rod weapons myself. The Prod is great for sneaking around and I've actually got through that level with the reformat much easier than if I flung the disc at each Z-Lot. I love shotguns in FPS games, and while the Subtrussion (sp?) is somewhat useless against ICP's (the disc is the only real effective weapon against them because you need to block as all), but it takes out Finders, Z-Lots and Datawraiths good enough. It's more effective in close combat, much like other shotguns in FPS games. The LOL is awesome too, it reminds me of the railgun from the Quake series.

Well, the Cluster involves the use of the disc, which proves that's it is better than most of the other weapons. I like it too, except that you have to watch out for innocent programs because they can get caught in the blast radius and make you fail the mission.

Yes, the Disc rules. No question. The next best weapon to me, is the Ball Launcher. Much more useful than the Ball Primitive. It has a rapid fire rate and is easier to control than the Drunken Dims.

After that, I like the Mesh Primitive (Blaster). Again, it has a rapid fire rate. Combine it with Primitive Charge, Corrode, and MegaHurtz, and it's deadly.

Ball launcher; it's the only weapon I found which takes out the damn Seekers, and it has a fast firing turnaround. The rod primitive is decent for close quarters with ICP's. So long as I have the energy, I love Drunken Dims, to give the ICPs a good, sharp pummelling from a distance.

I like sneaking up on the ICPs with my Rod Primitive, and giving them the shock of their life, so to speak.

I gave the mesh a go and it isn't bad once you get the power-boosting subroutines to gold status. It's a terrible distance weapon and the damage per bullet is crap, however.

besides the discs (whatever the multidisc one is is what i used mostly)

I'd say the LOL for lots of snipe action
followed by the drunken dims for when more than one ICP is bearing down on you or catching datawraiths when they run
it was also handy on the second seeker

I have to say I dont know how i would have gotten through the last part (all 3 sections) w/o the prankster though
it kept the amalgam monster busy and did significant damage when i was hiding and loading up on energy

Okay, nevermind on me saying that I like the Mesh Primitive. It looks sweet and it makes cool sounds, but the Damage Per Bullet is terrible and it is a huge energy hog. It's like saving the world with a sub-machinegun that shoots BB's and drinks your pop.

I love the LOL, because I'm not the type that dives into the thick of things. I prefer to sit around corners and feel the thrill of sniping my unsuspecting victims.
