This gives me an idea. There is a "New members" sticky thread to celebrate new arrivals. There should be a polar-opposite "I'm outta here" official sticky thread. The rules:

If you know you'll be away from Tron-Sector for more than, say, 6 months, then feel free to post there and say so. If you won't be gone that long, then don't post about your departure; unless it's somehow noteworthy (e.g., "I'm going to save the world. Be back in a month.") If you're gone for good because your ticked off by something at the Sector, then you could post there, but maybe not be too melodramatic about it.
