Different Types of Programs...

on Friday, September, 15, 2006 11:17 PM
I was just wondering if someone could give me a short description on the different program colors. I mean, I already know about Red and Blue (who doesn't?) but all the others, I haven't a clue. I can only guess they're from the TRON 2.0 game but I don't have the game, and even if I did my computer isn't fast enough for those kinds of games. And I also was wondering about those wicked avatars everyone has, ex. Scuzzy has one, Compucore, and a bunch more people I can't rember >.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Your color designates your alignment:

Blue = Users
Red = MCP
Purple = FCon (The evil Tron 2.0 Corporation)
Yellow = Independant
Green = Thorne (Corruption)

And I also was wondering about those wicked avatars everyone has, ex. Scuzzy has one, Compucore, and a bunch more people I can't rember

I believe they were made mostly by Sketch, the resident "artiste principal".

I haven't played the game or anything, but I guessed that F-Con might've been like a hacker-type-thing or something.

...because...uhh....dunno, really. It was a guess. where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

*May contain spoilers*

Future Control industries or "Fcon" is a big, faceless software corparation that buys out ENCOM during the timeline of Tron 2.0. Their evil master plan in the game is to use specially trained digitized hackers (called Datawraiths) to gain control of the world's computer networks and the information therein.

The game really isn't that demanding. You sure your computer doesn't meet these specs?

Minimum requirements:
-Windows 98/Me/2000/XP
-Intel Pentium III or AMD Athlon 500Mhz
-256MB RAM
-32MB Direct3D-compatible video card with Hardware T&L, 32-bit color, DirectX 9-compatible driver (e.g. NVIDIA GeForce 2 class)
-2.4GB free Hard Drive Space
-Additional hard drive space for Windows swap file and saved game files
-8X CD-ROM
-16-bit DirectX 9-compatible sound card
-56k modem, DSL, Cable Modem or LAN for Multi-play
-100 BaseT LAN connection for Light Cycle Multi-play

Those are the official minimum specs. Unless your computer is really old, the only sticking point I could see is the video card. A GeForce 2/Radeon 8500 or better is required.

And the game can be picked up for less than $10 dollars now. (Which is really kind of sad.) At that price, it's an absolute steal. One of the best $10 investments you could ever make.

Reddrain could you imagine playing it on a gigabit backbone cnnection.. I was just thinking of that when you posted the specs again. And had an image from where I used to work at Pratt and Whitney where almost all of the computers in the office are on gigabit connections on all of the computers there.

2 Legit 2 quit

End of line

Compucore

VROOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

I remember the demo gave LOTS of people problems. The full game runs much better. Chances are it WILL run on your comp...the only downside is you might have to turn the glow effect off if your videocard is not up to snuff.

Well, I should say something and then look for the actual game.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who had problems with the demo!

Yeay, not being alone!

Well, in case anyone has a computer with an older video card that doesn't support T&L (Transform and Lighting) which the game asks for, there's still a way to run the game. Visit this page, and download 3D-Analyze.

http://www.ldso.net/tronfaq/pages/video.html
Install it, and use it to load the game. It may not run very fast, but at least it will run.

And even if you don't, consider picking up a used X-Box for about the price of a new video card. There are TONS of X-Box games beyond Tron 2.0 that I can recommend for you.

I have a Windows 98 in my room, which is the only place I'm allowed to download games. I'm only 14 so I'm kinda restricted when it comes to that kind of stuff. Right now I'm on my Mom's comp because my computer doesn't have internet, and she has a Windows XP which is more than capable of playing TRON 2.0 . I have an Xbox, but I'm lending it to my brother who lives across town, and we're kinda having a fight so right now prolly wouldn't be the best time to ask him for it back...
