Some hours ploped in my lap, and I took advantage of them. Spent them with my sketchpad. This was a great little breather for me. I want to do more drawings like this, using ink, marker, and colored pencil.
Step 1, rough sketch in blue lead.
Step 2, ink outline.
Step 3/4, add color (marker and colored pencil)
Really should have put down a coat of 80% grey marker for the top part of the backdrop. The paper is showing through the colored penciles. Can't mark over it, or it will look strange.

Nice work, Sketch! 
I love that you showed the progression of the artwork too - from rough sketch to pencil-colored in finished image.
We've been seeing a lot of the 3D renderings of light cycles (and other vehicles) lately - so it's really neat to see the process of making a hand-drawn one.

Thanks. I meant to take a photo of the first coat of marker before i applied the color pencil, but was zoned out so it slipped my mind.
