Hi all,

Thank you for the warm welcome! I am glad to be here...I did not work on Tron 2.0 as I was out of the company for a while but I was more than excited about the game as it was going through it's testing and my father actually tested a little bit of it (I think) when he was working there (yes, my dad was a beta tester for 8 years at BVG... runs in the family I guess).

I currently am a Sr. Business Analyst/Sr. QA Engineer at Amgen, working with some great scientists in the Research Informatics division. I set up an automated software testing infrastructure for our group and have dabbled into Systems Analysis as well. It's a great world here. I am content.

Going back to Tron topic, I enjoy playing ALL the variations of Tron video games on emulators. As far as collectibles, I do not have anything Tron related I know, it's sad! I will change that soon. I do have a top shape Vectrex system with 6 cool games. I also have tons of old star wars toys and rare collectibles, a Six Million Dollar Man figure, and many others including comics... Now that I moved into my house, I can start expanding and organizing my collections.


As far as names, the reason I picked "Flynns" is the following: When I was receiving my Job Orientation at Disney Interactive (BVG), they took us through the production set lot and warehouse. On the ceiling, there was the neon FLYNN's sign that was used in the movie when they panned over Flynn's Arcade and into it. I fell in love with it... Perhaps they will auction it someday!

As far as my real name, it is Fredrick which means Fred - "Peaceful" and Rick "Ruler"... Peaceful Ruler! Well, not sure if I am peaceful nor a noble ruler but that remains to be seen!

For those who might be wondering, Fred and his father Sookias have both worked for me at DI/BVG.

We refer to Sookias as "Super Sookias: The Iranian Superman". Inside joke. I made him his own action figure. I'll have to post a pic of it one of these days.

There's an old picture of the Dodge Tomahawk prototype from E3 that is on this site someplace and the man standing next to it is Sook.

Good people, both Sook and Fred.

I can only try to echo Dave's generosity. The post he helmed at Disney was very tough. Be it that it is an entertainment company and by mere fact of title, most would assume it's all pixie dust and happy trails... But there is always a dark side, not to a company as a whole, but to people and Dave was always looking out after us.

We can't all be saints nor can we expect to cater to everyone at everytime. You move on and I'm glad Dave has and we're all happy here enjoying big stuff like...
