I was browse'n the net last night and I found a few really good freeware games. I don't think MySpace will allow me to post links in my blog but I'll leave a list for anyone who doesn't mind using google.
Diver Down -
This RPG is addictive but really hard. It plays a little like 'Phantasy Star' and the music is great. The down load is around 20mbs so unless your a fan of RPGs, I don't suggest downloading it with a dial-up modem.
Scorched3D -
Remember the PC classic 'Scorched Earth' from the late 80's / early 90's? If not, it's a tank battle game where you have to judge your aim and powder supply to hit your target tanks before they hit you. A talented team put this on together in a full 3D game that will blow your mind away. It plays very much like the classic and I'm very surprised that it's freeware. This one is about 28.5mbs but worth it.
Since I'm running out of time, I'm just going to post some other freeware titles that are really worth the download.
Sand Box of God - kinda like 'Good & Evil'.
Seiklus - Non-Violent platformer that is really good.
Boppin 2.0 - Great puzzle game that is now released as freeware.

I agree Scorched Earth was an awesome multiplayer game about 10 years ago.....

By the way...
I've been having some issues torwards the end of Diver Down. Has anyone downloaded this game and beat it yet? I can't find a walkthrough and I don't have enough time to figure it out...

I played soo many RPGs on the Sega Genesis so I was use to the old school method.
I just beat the game and I was impressed that it only took three guys to make the game.
It's mainly the storyline that keeps the game going. However, Scorched3D is great game hands down in my opinion.
I'll be checking out some more freeware soon, and if I find any more that is worth posting about, I'll do it here.

Ok... here is another game I found.... It's called 'Doukutsu (Cave Story)' and it's from Japan. Someone wrote an english patch to it and the translation is pretty good.
The game is a nifty platformer that plays a little like a cross from Simon's Quest and Rygar... well... sort of.
