I am a big fan of the PS2 game Ico. Ico transends mere video game play and becomes an interactive adventure in a work of art.

Well, I am MOST pleased to hear there is a new game coming out in October which is, basically, derived from the Ico engine.. called “Shadow Of The Colossus". It involves exploring a dead, burnt out world ruled by lumbering giants that you have to learn to defeat. Some are as big as 14 stories and involve climbing them to achieve your goal.

This is the first "boss only" game I can think of.

Well, I finished this game last night. And whereas the gameplay and graphics were awesome, the ending REALLY confused and depressed me.

This game, like it's predecessor Ico, was more of like a playable work of art, with a completely immersive environment and it was very easy to get caught up in the story and characters.

To have the ending be this way was....... a downer.

Oh well. Maybe I just didn't get it.

It's only for PS2. But if you have a PS2 I really reccommend it.
