I've been interested in the idea of mind uploading for a few years but I haven't heard much chatter about it, is there any chance of getting serious support for mind uploading from Tron 2?

SOunds something like from the movie Johnny Nmeumonics there. Where he jacked in for over 2 terabytes or something like tht. Remember seeing the movie a while ago. ANd he had used a memory doubler in that movie.

there was an awesome cowboy bebop episode about mind uploading. i dont know if any of you dig the anime thing but...yeah. it was called brain scratch. if you can, id HIGHLY reccomend checking this episode out, ESPECIALLY if mind uploading is something of interest to you. cowboy bebop is an anime that takes place in the not too distant, yet very realistic, future. check it out if you can. i wont ruin anything about it, but its called brain scratch and its one of my favs.abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

Could be worste. Scott me up Beamie is another one I remember from ye ole BBS days, Even with Tribbles Tributes. I have them somewhere around here somewhere. Morelikely on my server with my bluewave mailreader when I was answering emails in the early to mid 90's.

Isn't Johnny Mnemonic based on the characters from William Gibson's "Neuromancer"? That was a pretty good book.

I don't know if I'd necessarily say that mind-uploading is so different from digitization. In either case, your consciousness is being converted to a digital format.
The only difference is that with digitization, your body is converted as well as your mind, but I would think that even with mind-uploading, unless your body is somehow kept on autopilot, it would die anyway, so the end result is the same.
Digitization is no doubt the Tron equivalent of mind-uploading, and I think it brings the concept to the mind of the viewer without literally explaining how either procedure might work.
