Sorry, Buddy, I thought you said earlier that you left by mutual agreement or somesuch. Well, at least I don't feel so bad, now. Just kidding.

*Reads the Doug Jacoby threads*

Holy crap, is this guy batshit insane or what?

If it's any consolation, Dave, I dated a chick like this for a few days. After I broke up with her (for being batshit insane, of course), she sent me a lot of threatening letters about how she was mistreated at a bar I went to (which she wasn't) and the terrible things I said and did to her (which I didn't) and what the lawyer she hired said (which, just like in this case, sounded just like her and had a made up lawyer's name and address) . Eventually she left me alone, but again, I can empathise with ya, brother.

Damn, I just fed that Troll some more, didn't I? Sorry everyone...

Kamui,

Just never work for the guy I was working for and you won't have much of a problem.

I have worked under some great people in my time and learned a lot from each. What I learned from him is how to crush an ego, make someone feel lower than dirt and how to get them out of the way fast.

Now that I am past it, I realize he had me believing I wasn't any good. My own fault. I know better, and I know what I have accomplished. Too bad I let him get into my cranium like he did.

The best revenge is living well. I have signed two new web sites to my client list already and I plan to hit the ground running. Watch for an announcement later this week about my personal business ventures.

Scuzzy,

Doug is obviously in need of frieinds. He could have some here if he'd just fess up and apologize, but instead he chooses to walk down a dead end road in a game he cannot possibly win.

All the evidence is in my favor, most of you have made it clear where you stand, and Doug is tilting at windmills anyway.

He'd better just be blowing hot air, because if he ever shows up on my doorstep he will be in for a world of hurt like he's never felt before.

heh, all the craziness aside in this thread... I wish you good luck in your future endeavors, Dave. I know what it's like to be let go without so much as a "have a good life, thanks for your hard work" or anything like that. Some employers simply don't care enough or are even capable of showing that much respect. That kind of thing used to baffle me, but now I just let it go and move on.

Anyways, I'm sure you'll be kicking butt in no time and all that good stuff. Your resume says it all. If only I had your credentials. So, here's to both of us getting our butts in gear this year!

Pixar's still good, eh? Please tell me it's still good. *Worries way too much about her future* ^^;;

Sound like you've got a plan going, DaveTRON. Sounds like some sorta web thingy. As long as we're on that topic, do you know anything on PHP? That's another language I'm trying to learn (One of my teachers bought me a book on PHP as an Xmas gift, but I'm still quite interested on what you have to say.)

As far as Doug goes, I think we all pretty much scared him off. Of course, I'd love to see him do that at GaiaOnline. Ha! He'd barely last a day in that online community. they'd chew him up and spit him back out before he even knew what happened. That would actually be a little amusing. to think I got my Dictionary of Misinformation out just in case he came back. Okay... sorry for my stupid sense of humor there. ^^;;

Speaking of Pixar, is it me or is Disney going out of their way to alienate anyone or anything that seems to be creative and out of their "control"? How many incarnations of The Lion King are out there? They're making too many manufacured things and not stepping up to the plate in terms of creativity for the safe buck, and it's pretty sad.

Or am I just blowing smoke up my own ass?

No. I see the same things. Pixar only had a 10yrs contract with Disney and that contract will soon be fullfilled with the last colab being "Cars."

I will bet you $1 that within the next 18 months PIXAR re-ups with Disney.

Kamui - PIXAR is still good, and I bet you the guy I was working for at Disney is gone in 18 months too! He'll spend money hand over fist, the games won't sell and he'll be history.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

DaveTron would you mind taking this personal battle between you and Doug somewhere else outside of the public forums? DaveTron Since you have made Doug’s “private” message “public” without Doug’s permission I for one ask that you please remove it.

I like to read through this site with my son’s young daughter and you could imagine her reaction to reading this thread.

Children, young adults and the elderly retired (like myself) read through this and come to a complete shock when they glance “ugly” curse words across their computer screens. DaveTron even if Doug “did” or “did not” write this private message to you, do you think, since you are site administrator, that it would be proper to post publicly having such profanity?

Daniel,

Doug took steps to create a problem privately and try to look like a saint publicly. I provided the evidence to clarify what he was really about.

I'll censor the swearing (two words) as I agree with you on that point. Now that the problem has passed, there is no need for those words to remain. I've hidden the screenshot of the PM so that people have to click on it and placed a warning before they do.

As for removing the thread. No. It's our site, we have the freedom to speak as we feel necessary, and those who don't like it can choose not to read it.

Keep it cool, no issues, but I am not the type to sit back and let a troll like Doug walk all over the people on this site.

DaveTron If it’s not too much to ask, can you edit the following from the public? I find the words Bu* (please edit) S*upid S*humk (please edit) and S*ob (please edit) to be offensive.
Please remove them from public view and take measures not to post personal private disputes. Honestly, when I read this it ruined my day. If this site uses such “vulgarity” can you at least print a disclaimer once someone joins or enters this forum as do other main stream web sites today? I’m close to just simply not posting or visiting.

I hate to burst your bubble, but swearing is everywhere and now more unavoidable than ever. And if you really wanna nitpick, imagine what silly things can be said. I cannot say I'm part Irish because some consider "Irish" vulger. Seriously, I swear like a sailor offline but online, I try and cut back as best as I can cause it's a little more public but still, you're going to run it to these words sometime or another and you can't live a sheltered life forever. I mean swearing is literately EVERYWHERE. So to avoid it, you'd have to sell your TV and get rid of your dish/cable, cut your internet and phone, remove the radios, sell your compy, live out in the middle of a forest with BAD RECEPTION, and remove all means of media in your house. Even still, you have to go out sometime for food or something and even then, you'll be bombarded. you're not going to be able to avoid it for very long so my best advice (although you'll hate my guts for it) in the words of Paul Senior from American Chopper "Suck it up a little." You're going to need to be able to get stronger than this because it's not going away anytime soon.

Be greatful I don't swear as much online as I do offline (The only exception to this rule is at work and in class. You'd almost won't hear anything objectionable).

Daniel,

I'm not going to edit anything more than I have.

This is a web site made by and for the adult population of the world. While there are some children here, this is not a nursery school.

I agree that certain levels of decorum are necessary and that words like the two I have edited out are potentially offensive. However, I am not going to become the Thought Police here.

Your position comes off as though it were rampant here at TS. It isn't. This is an isolated case.

Terribly sorry if Doug's big mouth ruined your day, but he said it, I was just exposing him for the creep that he is.

If you don't care for the content here, then you have the basic human right to not read it, just as you have the right not to buy certain magazines and to change the channel on offensive TV shows. You do not have the right to tell the rest of us what we must do or say. (I will remind you that the Admins of this site do have that right on TS only!)

As for the issue of bringing personal issues public, I normally don't. Doug had to be exposed because Doug is a duplicitous, trouble-causing individual. Sometimes you need to see the nastiness in people to believe it's there. His is now clearly visible. I only do things like that when they are called for, and in that case it was.

As for how we run this site, we are all frieinds here. We post what we are thinking and feeling and going through and we support each other. Those of us who are regulars here like it that way. When you are running this site you can employ a different editorial policy, but for now I think my fellow fans agree everything is going just fine at TS.

Thanks for your input.
