Well, while at a Big Lots store I stumbled upon a Just For Kids All-Star Theater VHS which has an episode of Macron 1 and the original Filmation's Ghostbusters. I couldn't resist since I remembered seeing the Filmation Ghostbusters once as a kid. The tape has an ad for BraveStarr and C.O.P.S. "Fighting Crime in a future time."

The floodgates of my memory have burst opened now cause of this and can't be closed. My goodness... I've totally forgot about some of these shows. I seem to remember other shows like...

 BraveStarr
 Grave Dale High
 Galaxy High
 M.A.S.K.
 My Pet Monster
 FooFur

Does anyone else remember any old long forgotten 80's cartoons?

Yep - There was a Back to the Future Cartoon... I think the actual Doc Brown (actor Christopher Lloyd) made appearances between the cartoon segments just before or after commercial breaks.

You know, I used to love this one when I was a kid - ready?
 Does anyone remember:
Kid Super Power Hour - wiiiiiith Shazam?
That was great because they had the cartoon characters portrayed by actors who would do silly stuff before showing each cartoon and sing a song at the end (they all formed a band on stage). Thinking back - it was really very cheasy, but at the time, I LOVED it! Plus I had a huge crush on the live-action "Trixie"

Man those were the days of cartoon. I remember there was even Pole Position, Supercade, Speed Buggy was another. I think there was one other that is eluding me as well. It might be from the 70's. Where there was a buggy that looked really looked like it was ready for the car junkyards. But when they had pressed the little horn on the mirror it would look like brand spoanking new..

Lets see there was another one where a group of people go back through time on a lifeboat. Or something really close to like that. where you see the dinosaurs and the people living at the time. I think it was called the land of the lost or land of the dinosaurs. Something like that.

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

The Back to the Future Cartoon was cool. I remember the comic book (Still have 2 issures of it), and the Mc Donalds Happy Meal Toys. Doc's DeLorean was the coolest happy meal toy ever! It's reactor coolers sparked when you rolled it! How cool is that! https://www.flickr.com/photos/blue_bezel/   |

Yeah - that was from the 70's. It was called "Wonderbug" and it was part of Krofft Superstars. Man - those were my absolute FAVORITE childhood TV shows. Wonderbug, Land of the Lost, Sigmund and the Seamonster, The Bugaloos, and more... They weren't cartoons, but the coolest live action kids shows that existed to that point in time... speaking of time, we're both showing our age here on this one

They filmed an episode of Wonderbug at Mingay Elementary School in Burbank, CA once. They asked neighborhood kids to stand along a fence and wave and in one episode of that show there is a little boy in the background who happens to be me! The problem is there are 200 other little kids there too.

Wow! That had to be the coolest when you were a kid - being in an episode of The Wonderbug... even if only one kid among hundreds. I'm sure you were still excited as could be - I would have been.

So, were you able to pick yourself out in the finished episode?

You can sort of see each kid as they drive along, but I was never really sure. It's just cool to know I was there.

It's been a lot of fun growing up around the industry like I have. I am sure there are a lot of other people in LA with similar experieinces.

The episode crossed over with Elektra Woman and Dyna Girl as I recall. I remember seeing characters from other shows that day.abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

Speaking of video game cartoons, they also had "Dragon's Lair" for a short time.

Do you remember the public service toons between shows??
On CBS (I think) back in the mid 80's there was one that was to convince kids to brush their teeth... I think it was called "Yuck Mouth!"...
The song started out something like....
 “They call me Yuck Mouth
 'Cause I don't brush
I like my teeth like this
I got some beef in my teeth
 and some chicken too...
 Ouch! That's a cavity!
 Hey! That's new!
 They call me Yuck Mouth
 'Cause I don't brush,
 How 'bout a little kiss?!”
lol.... My brother and I still kid around useing the "Yuck Mouth!" theam when picking on one another while we are camping out.
I'd love to download it if I could find it...        |

Haaaaaaaaa!
I remember that guy - an ugly green, roundish thing that went around eating candy while singing his song - he had yellow, chipped and cavity-ridden teeth.
The song ended something like this I think:
"And if you don't brush your teeth it will get you too
 You'll be a yuck mouth"
Ahhhh, the memories. Cheesy 80's toon-service announcements.
The Yuck Mouth - good call!

Ok, this took a little searching, but look what I found...

Education, 80's style
You can watch the "Yuck Mouth" PSA - and some other "Bod Squad" video clips!
In fact, there's pretty much the whole slew of those 80's PSA's.
Remember "Time for Timer" - the yellow round guy with the tall hat and sang "Hanker for a Hunka Cheese"?
Remember "The Chopper" - a cartoon like Fonzy character who had prefect teeth and loved eating his veggies?
 Don't forget "Beans and Rice"
Oh - do you remember "OG Readmore"? That cat who sang about reading?
They're all there. They're in RealPlayer format - not the greatest format or player, but if you've got it, you have to check these out. You'll have a HUGE flashback to childhood saturday mornings!

Thanks man - I'm glad you enjoyed the trip back in time
I showed the "Time for Timer" guy (just the graphic) to another 30 something at work - he laughed really hard and started singing "Hanker for a Hunka Cheese" song!
I'm sure you were blasted with a lot of other memories from that time era too - I know I was. Just watching those old PSA's triggered many memories that had been laying dormant for years.
Ahhhhh, the early 80's - what a fun time to be a kid, eh?
Well, I've got the "Yuck Mouth" song playing in my head again - I think I'll watch it again. The audio is slightly out of sync with the video in this one, but it's still a fun trip back 20 years to childhoodland.
