Hi everyone. I just picked up the commercial version of the Samsung gear VR. I was so amazed by the performance of this technology that I couldn't wait to try my hand at making some Tron elements for it. I've created some old school recognizers and place them around in an environment and it looks amazing. My dreams have finally been realized after 25 years.
If anyone has a gear VR with appropriate hardware from Android and would like to try it feel free to contact me and I can share the apk with you.

I have a Galaxy S6 edge, but unfortunately no Gear. Do you think you can usw it on the phone as well?

Wow! That is like a dream come true... to be able to walk around in Tron worlds. Good work, Falty! I hope to own VR setup someday so I can try this firsthand, too. Hope to see more soon
I'm getting out of here right now, and you guys are invited. -----^ |

Thank you, Traahn. I'm studying C# to learn how to build this into a working demo. Currently, it's a sandbox for testing what I've learned in C# and VR game design theory. Who knows...it may amalgamate into a working game. The main control scheme hasn't been solved yet but I'm using the Leap Motion controller to interact with the environment.
On the To-Do list is:
Model player characters, vehicles, Non-player-characters, interactive objects. All with the classic Tron art style mixed with today's tech.
