I totally agree with you. Disney has fumbled with Tron Uprising, big time. When the premiere episode aired on Disney Channel in addition to X D, it got nearly 2 million viewers. Then when they moved it exclusively to X D, the ratings dropped by about 75%. People didn't want to add a subscription to X D just for Uprising, which is meant as a kid's channel and probably the majority of interested viewers are in their teens or older.

Now, the BIG question where exactly do we send this outpouring of support to? There are petitions out there like the one at change.org.. But where and addressed to who does one email or write in to the higher-ups of the show itself?

Well, as I suggested earlier in the thread: if people have a Twitter account, please take the time to tweet @TronLegacy and @DisneyChannelPR.

Believe it or not, this social media crap really matters to them. They keep an eagle eye on Twitter and Facebook . Plus, Twitter is feedback they're instantly made aware of. A petition takes time: either because Disney relations people have to find it themselves, or because the petition has to be mailed in first before they become aware of it.

Also, when tweeting, use the hashtag "#TRONUprising" (without quotes). It causes your tweet to become part of a "trend", where companies like Disney can see how often tweets are made mentioning that hashtag. If enough people tweet the hashtag, it could trend pretty highly and Disney will again take notice.

On Facebook, one of the Technical Directors for TRON: Uprising, "Dr. Mangor" posted a comment on his page in response to someone asking the same question. His comment said:

"...you can call Disney and leave your feedback directly at 818-460-7477"

So you could try that as well as the other suggestions posted here.

EDIT: I found the page for Walt Disney Animation Studios which has a contact address:

Also, here's the Facebook page for Walt Disney Animation Studios:

Do you guys really think that even if we manage to get Uprising a fandom in less than two weeks Disney will give us a second season? Seems to me that the disney executives don't think Uprising was worth a shot, they waited waay too long to air new episodes after "Price of power" moved the airings to midnight and it's obviously more easy to make money using their stupid unfunny sequels than to invest in a high quality series like Uprising, so I think that the whole "We don't have enough viewers" it's a load of BS, specially after you consider that Uprising hasn't aired in latin america (LOTS of viewers here) and most of europe.

Of course not, I already signed the petition for the renewal of both Uprising and motorcity, and while I will support the series until the end, I won't get my hopes up too high so i won't be dissapointed if Disney decides not to make a second season, for now ill just enjoy the remaining episodes.

I had a feeling this would happen when the show was moved to a 12am broadcast time once per week. But to be honest, I'm not entirely sorry that Tron Uprising was cancelled.

I personally think that a better route for Disney to take would have been to perhaps adapt the Tron Betrayal graphic novel into a mini-series. Cartoon Network went the mini-series route with the original Clone Wars cartoon back in 2004/2005. I thought the two mini-series they produced dovetailed nicely in between the time of Attack Of the Clones and Revenge Of the Sith. It provided details as to why General Grievous had that nasty cough in Revenge Of the Sith, why the Jedi Knights were so intimidated by him, etc.

Part of the appeal of Tron to me has always been seeing the real world happenings alongside the computer world happenings of Tron. If Tron Betrayal had been adapted in the way the original Clone Wars mini-series had been written, I think it would have been much more successful than how Tron Uprising went as far as story, character development, etc.

Ultimately, Tron Uprising just didn't feel right to me. It felt forced, the story and characters didn't really appeal to me that much and the whole idea of Beck being "the next Tron" was questionable. Tron Betrayal, on the other hand, gave a much better look as to what happened in between Tron and Tron Legacy and would have made for a much more interesting story if it had been adapted to TV as an animated mini-series in my opinion.

Anyway, what's done is done. With Tron Uprising being cancelled, I have my doubts that Disney is going to want to do another Tron movie anytime soon, especially now with their recent acquisition of the Star Wars franchise. But, we'll just have to see what happens as things develop.

I have Betrayal, but honestly have yet to read it. Maybe I'll jam through it tonight, and get a feel for it.

I can't in all honesty compare the two, right now. But I personally loved Uprising. Even if it's not canon (which I believe they said it wasn't), the world building and characters are still endearing, and amazing.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

Highlights include:

Early formation of The Grid

CLU's creation and why Flynn did it

Better explanation of how the ISO's came into being

Real-world happenings like Sam's birth, Flynn's interactions with Alan, Lora, and the ENCOM board. It also explains Lora's absence in Tron Legacy.

How CLU became so powerful

Better explanation on why CLU turned on the ISO's and insight as to why he despised them.

I don't want to spoil everything for you and others who haven't read it so I won't go any further. Anyway, I feel that it would have made for a much more interesting show than Tron Uprising. And, I think you'll appreciate Tron Legacy a little more after reading Tron Betrayal.

You can still buy it on Amazon for $9.99. Your local bookstore may also be able to order it for you.

I've been watching this show via itunes and I've just finished watching the stranger, this show is amazing dont get my wrong....That being said however, I seriously don't think Disney had any intention of making this a continuous story. It seems to focus mostly on expanding and tying up some issues with Legacy perhaps in preparation for Tron 3. It just feels to me as a padding out rather than something new that they plan to run with for a good period of time.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..........No

Tron Betrayal works as a comic, but there is almost no action, not to mention that we know how things ended in Tron: Legacy, that's why Uprising takes place Far away and focuses on a new character ( Who is a much better character than Sam by the way) and Tron, who appeared on legacy only 5 minutes.

Now I have a few issues with the series myself ( namely the fact that the occupation doesn't feel really threatening to Beck and that Zed is a HORRIBLE character who they try to shove down our throats ) but in the end you can tell this is the tron adaptation with the most complex plot and unlike Betrayal, it actually expands the Tron universe.

Also Laphyta, really? you think that they introduced a truckload of characters , a bunch of story arcs and new concepts only to help tron 3? In fact I believe the biggest problem tron 3 faces is that is going to feel plotless when compared to Uprising, much like Legacy

TESLER (growls): Where did you hear this blasphemy?!

Seriously, though, I've never heard anything to that effect anywhere. (I know some fans have decided it's not part of their personal headcanon, but that's something completely different.) Considering the quality of the writing in Uprising, and how cleanly it slots into existing continuity, they'd be insane to declare it non-canon.abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion
