Tron Sector book club

on Sunday, December, 09, 2012 11:39 AM
This is a thought I had some time ago and it keeps popping into my head.

A while back (it's been maybe a year or more?) someone here had recommended the book Daemon, by Daniel Suarez*. Based on that recommendation, I believe several of us went out and read it. It occurred to me at the time that we might do something like that semi-officially-- someone recommends a book, anyone who wants to reads it, and we could discuss it. That book was recommended because it was technology-based, and I would imagine we'd want to keep it to books with that sort of theme, something we know everyone here might be interested in.

I thought of it because I keep meaning to read Simulacra and Simulation** (the book in The Matrix that Neo gives a disc of stolen info to some hackers in) and i thought others here may have already read it or may be interested in doing so.

What do you all say? Would anybody be interested in doing that?

Is Daemon the novel that DiGillio was hired to screenwrite?

Y'know, it could be. That might be why it was brought up here to begin with.

I'll be reading this again after I finish "John dies at the end"

From what I can remember it was a good read sort of a scifi western it was really enjoyable, also its written by Tron so it's even more relevant to our interests

Yes, I wanted to read Bruce's books too, but none of the libraries in the area seem to have them...

I checked and it looks like I could get one of his books on interlibrary loan... whichever one it is that I believe he was saying they ripped off the idea for Cowboys & Aliens from (just judging from the film, and from what I read the plot of the book is, I have to say it does look sort of fishy...).

Could be fun. I'll go back and see which book it is later; if you can get ahold of it from your library and anybody else wants to sign on, we could have a go at this.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pillabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Oh yeah there were tons of things they stole, especially the introduction of the main character! It is almost identical! Yeah when I was sitting watching that movie I thought "I really hope they paid BB for this"order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill
