Someone on this forum has already put up a page asking people ideas for Tron merchandise.
Well this an idea that actually occurred to me quite a while back, but it’s only now that I’ve got round to writing it down.
Basically, the idea is this-what about a Tron Chess set?
Has far as I’m aware, I don’t think it’s ever been done before.
There are two versions of a Chess set that I have planned=
The Original Tron Chess set.
This particular set is based upon the original 1982 movie. The board itself would be designed to look like the Gaming Grid, whilst the pieces the be based only on the Original movies characters.
The black pieces will be RED (to represent the bad guys) whilst the white pieces will be BLUE (to represent the good guys).
White Pieces:
King=Tron.
Queen=Yori.
Bishop=Flynn (in his blue circuitry costume).
Bishop=Alan.
Knight=
Knight=
Rook=Dumont.
Rook=Lightcycle.
Pawns=Warriors.
Black Pieces:
King=MCP
Queen=Sark.
Bishop=
Bishop=
Knight=
Knight=Recognizers.
Rook=Tanks.
Rook=Lightcycles.
Pawns=Guards.
Legacy Chess Set:
This set is based upon Tron Legacy. The board itself would be designed to look like the Lightcycle Arena (complete with cheering crowds & ramps to the other levels), whilst the pieces the be based only on Legacy characters.
The black pieces will be Orange (to represent the bad guys) whilst the white pieces will remain WHITE (to represent the good guys).

Queen=Quorra.
Bishop=Sam.
Bishop=Alan.
Knight=
Knight=
Rook=
Rook=Lightcycle.
Pawns=Warrior.
Black Pieces:
King=Clu.
Queen=Rinzler.
Bishop=Jarvis.
Bishop=Blackguard.
Knight=Castor
Knight=Siren.
Rook=Recognizers.
Rook=Lightcycles.
Pawns=Sentries.
Has you can see, there are a few blank spaces in these lists, and that’s because I haven’t been able to think of any suitable characters to be used there.
If anyone else has any ideas about what other characters/vehicles could be used please feel free to suggest them.
