A Last Chance for T:L Toys through Big Lots.

NOTE: Before I begin, I must stress this - this may not apply to all Big Lot stores, only certain ones. But, you happen to be lucky and be near one that actually has them, kudos to you!

Now, earlier today, I was at Big Lots shopping around for stuff to get my family for Christmas. I had decided to help out an elderly woman in getting a reusable Christmas tree that was advertised in the sales papers. The trees were close to the toy isle, and after I had loaded up the box into her cart, I turned around and spotted some familiar toys. On one of the shelves, they had the Series 2 TRON: Legacy action figures, a lot of the Kevin Flynn Light Cycle Deluxe vehicles and some of the Impulse Projection figures. I looked through the whole lot of figures they had to see if there were any Castors that somehow ended up there (no luck). Below are the pricing for the figures.

1. The regular figures (G.I. Joe sized) - $4 each.
2. Kevin Flynn Lightcycle Deluxe Vehicle - $6 each

The Impulse Projection figures didn't have a price tag on them. I figured it'd be best to share this, in case you're a collector to add them to your collection (mint on card or otherwise) or if you're a TRON fan who happens to customize figures. I picked up the Sam and Quorra figure to eventually customize (as I've seen some people do). So, if you're lucky enough to be near a Big Lots that has them, and has them in stock, you still have a last chance for getting some T:L toys. I don't know if they have any ID Discs or anything else, but those where what I found.on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill online

Update: I went back to Big Lots again earlier today to actually pick up an item for my sister for Christmas, resulting me in picking up two Rinzlers and CLU (again, with intention to customize). But when I went back, I noticed they had two sections of TRON: Legacy toys. It included more of the Impulse Projection figures (which actually included a pricing), and the Deluxe Sam Flynn lightcycles. They also had the Light Runner car (which I picked up). So, here's an update on the pricing:

1. Impulse Projection figures - $6 each
2. Deluxe Sam Flynn Light Cycle - $7 each
3. Deluxe Light Runner - $7 each

Good luck in snagging these if you're going for them.

Good luck, trekking. Like I said, not all Big Lots have the same items in stock, but you never know until you check.

Seen them there last week when I went in to work. What are the impulse figs? Seen the core, deluxe, core Flynn cycle, core Sam cycle and core jet. I'm slowly building a small collection. Got flynn's bike, sam's, club core and deluxe, rinzler deluxe, core black guard so far.

Impulse figures use impulse projection to make a talking face. They come in both 7 and 12 inch sizes. Google it for a better explanation than I have. where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

That's right, the Impulse Projection figures are the deluxe sized ones.

Cool beans. It's best to always double check the toy isle just to make sure. I mean, it took me going back to Big Lots a second time to discover a second shelf near by that had more core vehicles and deluxe action figures.

I may be going back to get another Sam Flynn and another Quorra. The second Sam, I'm going to need to take the LED board out and place it into the second Rinzler to help in getting him glowing white/blue (haven't figured out what color he's suppose to be yet). The second Quorra figure I just may turn into a T:L version of Yori.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

Aah! Ok, they are the deluxes. Yeah, you got to thoroughly search for them. We got them in 3 different aisles here.

How can a Rinzler figure glow white/blue when the plastic is solid orange, not just the light? And that sounds cool about the Legacy version Yori!!

I don't know how, but I came across a user on DeviantArt that made a customized T:L TRON figure that was glowing white. I read the description, and this is what it said: "I repainted the 3 inch Rinzler figure into TRON! As seen in the flash back sequence in the Tron Legacy movie. I used a Anakin Skywalker head from the Clone Wars toy line for unmasked TRON. I used a Sam Flynn LED light and swapped that sucker in. Now he lights up TRON white instead of Rinzler Red."

I asked him about it the figure and if he had to recast the entire front piece of the figure in clear plastic and filled in the necessary areas so that it could glow white (as I read the post that you linked in my topic under the Fan Art section. I even brought that up). His reply: "I carefully cut out Rinzler's light/battery area with a hobby knife and just switched the boards out. That's all. I put a thin layer of white paint over the red transparent plastic of the light up areas on Rinzler's chest. The thin white paint plus the bright blue led from Sam did the trick. Hope that helps you."

Yeah, I figured it'd be a good base (as it was already the correct size and slightly the same style). I was thinking of removing the skirt on the figure, sand down certain spots (such as the top of the chest area so to get Yori's symbol on it), swap the head and possibly give her a robe/coat to have on (borrowing a bit of the design from the deleted "love scene" from the original film when it comes to the robe/coat). I don't know if I'll keep her in black or change her outfit to gray. Plus, I'm gonna need to find a head that looks enough like Cindy Morgan circa 1989. I've even toyed around with making sort of a head-piece, turning her into a T:L version of an I/O Tower Guardian (not sure on this one, though)

Well I always heard that the orange plastic would shine through and make a brown color. And you could also cut out the light up areas on Rinzler and put clear epoxy or plastic in the holes.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

Well, he somehow managed to make it work. I'm going to have to remove the light board in there anyway and replace it with one from another Sam Flynn, so I'll test out that method first. And if it doesn't work, then I'll do the cutting out those parts and fill them in with clear epoxy (may even try to add a little thin paint to it to shine blue on the other end if I can confirm TRON's color in the film was blue, if not that then leave it white).

But the cutting out thing I would think would be somewhat difficult in making sure to get the squares on the chest cut correctly (I mean the squares that form the T on Tron's/Rinzler's chest).

Thank you so much for the heads up!!! Was able to pick up 2x Sam Flynns, 2x CLUs, 2x Quorras, and another Rinzler (which I just custom made into a Tron) all for under $30!!!! There was even a Jarvis at the big lots by my home, but I didn't really feel the need for a second one and coudln't think of any way to custom make him into anything. I plan on doing a helmet less CLU, Quorra, and Sam with my new extras. Will post pics soon. Thanks again!!!!!

You're welcome. That's why I gave the heads up.

Speaking of heads up: If any of you are in the Valdosta, GA area, the Sam Flynn light cycles have completely sold out, the amount of action figures have dropped down a bit (I picked up the extra Sam, two more Quorras {one for a Yori mod, the other possibly for a Gem} and a Black Guard. I almost picked up a Jarvis, but I decided to pass because... well... I don't really like Jarvis for some reason. If he's still there after Christmas, I'll pick him up so not to have a hole somewhere in the collection. And if he's not there, then so be it {there's always flea markets}).order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Oh wow, a Gem figure?!? If you make one be sure to take some pictures so I can do one. It would go great with the Castor figure I am working on!! And I made that from a Kevin figure with a sculpted chest and the hands and feet of Clu's Sentry.

Well, the Gem figure is just a thought I'm having. Don't know if I'll do it (let alone figure out how much modification will be needed on the Quorra figure to make it look correct), but I felt it was necessary to snag the figure just in case if I am able to do it (better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it). I'm already setting up a big plate when it comes to the customs I'm wanting to do (Tronifying a Rinzler, swapping heads for Sam, Quorra and CLU and a "Legacifying" a Yori figure. I'm even considering on trying to modifying the Light Runner so that the cockpit of the car is a bit bigger, but I'm not sure on that).
