nobody's seen tron except a dumb fat cop. no pun intended. and he even said no at first then maybe remembered he did and said yes.

They were poking fun at Tron, as if no one had ever seen it. I never liked this scene. I remember the theater, in 1982, packed full of kids, chearing when Tron defeated Sark. I will never forget it. Here is the short sited clip.

It has to do with the fact that Disney spent most of the 80's and about half the 90's considering Tron as an expensive, failed experiment.
"Oh, we did a video game movie. It was The Eighties, it seemed a great idea at the time, and we got Bridges and the guy from Scarecrow and Mrs. King to work reasonably cheap...Yeah, didn't make as much as we thought at the box office. We made more on the merchandise and video games. It does okay on VHS sales and rentals though."
It wasn't until Pixar told them "Uh, thanks for inspiring our careers" and Square said, "No, we REALLY wanna make a level based around that film!" that The (rather surprised) Mouse started to realize what a wonderfully unique cult classic they accidentally created.

The implication is that maybe everyone saw it, but everyone's ashamed or embarrassed to admit it. Only Chief Wiggum gets caught, but then he denies it again.
The animated form works better than the comic form, because the comic omits the final flip-flop.
(IMHO it's amusing but not hilarious.)
