It wasn't even six months ago that we heard a writer had been hired for Tron 3. Scripts aren't always the easiest things to write. The guy could easily still be trying to finish a first draft.

Anyone here heard anything new about this topic? I'm hoping that we have some secret insiders that can help shed some light on the question.

Just look at the read count for this post compared with others and you know there is considerable interest. I for one don't mind waiting, but would prefer to know that one has been green-lighted.

Really hope the animated shows do well. I thought that the movie had done well enough in box office to green light another.

We do have a few members who could probably be considered "insiders", but I haven't heard much from them lately. I have a feeling we'll hear something just before they have to sign the non-disclosure agreement and go dark for the next few years.

Okay, according to here wikipedia entry, Olivia Wilde was born March 10, 1984. She was 25 when they shot T:L in April 2009. If they start production for T3 in 2013 for 2014 release she would still be 29. Not much computer de-aging necessary there.

Honestly, she looks like she hasn't aged at all since the first time I saw her, which was in House. She's going to be one of those actresses who'll age gracefully, for sure.

And even if she's 29 years old, she can still pull off looking the same age as long as its not 10 to 20 years between T:L and the next film (like with Jeff and Bruce). Honestly, it is harder to make someone as old as Jeff look as young as he did in 1989 with makeup. In fact, it's almost impossible with makeup (which is why CG was used). When it comes to making someone look like they haven't aged, it's easier to pull off within a four or five year period (a good example is Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween II. Though there was a two year timeframe between Halloween and Halloween II, Jamie Lee Curtis still looked like she was the same age as she was in the first film, even though she was a couple of years older).

Precisely. Plus the Quorra getup makes her look younger, anyway. If nothing else, a bit of clever makeup would take care of that easily.

(Hell, *I'm* 29 and I'd be hard-pressed to find someone who would think I even look 18 or 20 yet, so... I'm sure Olivia will be good for another few years. And Hedlund too, for that matter.)

What do you want? I'm busy.

I know how you mean. I myself am 29, and when I shave off my beard, I have people carding me when I buy R-Rated movies at Wal-Mart because they think I look like I'm 17. True indeed. I remember one program here (can't recall his name) who actually works at Digital Domain and I recall a time where he was saying that he'd have to vacate the sector due to a N.D.A., or he'd get fired from his job.

I have a feeling that there will still be a TR3N, and I have a feeling that we may not hear anything until after Tron: Uprising hits the grid running, LOL!!!!!(Pun intended). I just hope that TR3N isn't concerned too much with the digital world coming out into the real world - I'd love to see Dillinger Jr. battle it out with Sam, Quorra, Alan, and Tron inside the ENCOM server - and I bet there will be a HUGE reveal regarding MCP2. I was pretty surprised that they got David Warner to actually voice the MCP again for that one TR3N clip where junior is having a chat room conversation with his Dad (MCP2). Maybe David Warner is coming back around to the TRON universe we all here know and love. . . .where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

That is indeed the program I am referring to, Renegade. He did some of the effects in TRON: Legacy and has probably worked on some other cool movies since then. The last I heard from him was earlier this year and, at that time, he hadn't heard any buzz around the office about TR3N. But as you stated, he said that when he does hear something, he'll have to say goodbye to the Sector for a few years while under the N.D.A. Hopefully, he'll be able to give us a quick, "TR3N is a go!", or something of the sort, before he goes silent. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

There must be Tron3 plans still on the board. Ms Cindy Morgan posted this at her FB page.

Disney has reached out to Ms Morgan about playing Lora/Yori. :-)

Nick, CB2001, Kat, I'd be perfectly happy if it happened that soon, but as it stands this is the best case scenario. I'm talking about 5-10 years into the future from now, which is not so great. I made no assumption Tron 3 is happening in 2013-14.

All I'm saying is, good genes notwithstanding, she *will* age to the point where makeup alone can no longer bring her appearance back to that of T:L. If they don't get shooting before then, something more drastic will have to be done. It isn't a question of how much Wilde will age in 2-3 years, that's almost a non issue - It's how much she would have aged if and when they get around to shooting Tron 3.

A delay of 5-10 years also carries implications for the rest of the production - Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner may be too old to work, we may only get to see what happened in the past few years in flashbacks alone, etc.

Good news, if this article didn't date back as far as March this year, alongside all the other Tron 3 buzz going about at the time.

I posted that article over at the Yori Lives FB page. I was mostly hoping by posting it to remind people of what had been reported and to see if anyone had something to add or if there would be some kind of update after all this time. I imagine someone at Disney talked to her about something but I wanted to know who the article's author was sourcing his information from. He never did get back with me. I think he claimed he had it on "good authority." Also, I noticed that Cindy Morgan sometimes posts there which I thought was pretty cool. While she comments on some postings, I do wonder if she isn't suppose to comment on other posts.
I figure it doesn't hurt to dust these things off every now and then just to see if it could stir up some new information. I'm just speculating at this point, but I think if I was Disney and I had Tron:Uprising not too far off, I think I'd wait to say anything official until the show was about to air in order to drum up interest or if I was really on the fence about making another one I'd see how Tron:Uprising was received. I guess at this point I don't expect to see or hear much until Uprising airs. However, I wouldn't turn away from being pleasantly surprised before then.

Yeah, but the same thing will happen to Hedlund, so we'll have that problem twice (I don't assume that Quorra wouldn't age. I think she would, and might do so at the same rate she would if she were actually human. Besides, if she's supposed to be romantically-involved with Sam-- and they HEAVILY implied she would be-- it would get creepy in a hurry as he ages and she doesn't). I'm sure they'll manage to deal with it, even if they end up having to set the film 5-10 years after the end of T:L. I don't know how they'd work that, and hopefully it wouldn't involve something entirely dumb and implausible, but I wouldn't put that past them, either.

But, i do think if they were to do a sequel, it'd have to be soon. I don't think interest in the movie was THAT great that many people would bother if the sequel came out a decade later. Unless they had some good action and effects to draw people in, I just don't think enough people became enamored with T:L to get excited about it all over again in another ten years. So my guess is that they must be planning a sequel pretty soon. It's my guess of why they're doing Uprising, to keep it all fresh in folks' minds in the meantime.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill
