Where can I get a copy of the track "Reflections"?

on Saturday, November, 12, 2011 11:41 AM
It's in the movei yet one of those we gtot ripped off on since it's not on the standard-release soundtrack. Look, if I pay for the soundtrack, I want what I paid for......which is the *entire* soundtrack.

So where can I get a copy of Reflections? I mean, I'm not asking anyone to help me out with this, finding a decent-quality MP3 of it ripped from the CD. I wouldn't do that. No way. I also wouldn't encourage anyone to send me a message about that matter which would be helping a total TL maniac from finally having all of the tracks played in the movie.

Thanks for NOT doing that. *wink wink*

I think this is one of the movie's most fantastically retro sounding 80's sounding elec tronica. In fact I postulate that its the only track on the album having all retro sounds of eighties-and maybe even late seventies- synthesizers. It could have been written in 1982. order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

You paid for the standard release, so you get the *standard release* soundtrack.

There is no single officially released "complete" soundtrack. You'll have to get the other tracks from the internet.

That, apparently, is JUST what I've been looking for. Now I just have to verify that the sound quality is up to snuff. Sometimes what you DL from youtube can so sound kinda lousy, but we';ll see. Thanks!

The unfortunate thing about that is that everyone who DID do the treasure-hunting is going to be right pissed!

I wish they'd just done it from the start (sorry, rant coming: fair warning). I've never been much enamored of their handling of the franchise, making the fans run from here to there to this other place for this exclusive or that exclusive or this product that they decided to release only a few of just to watch people grab at it. I understand that many franchises will do maybe one or two exclusives, but after a while it gets excessive. I wouldn't take that kind of BS from a friend or significant other, if I had to run around and make all sorts of efforts just to be in their life, and I don't take kindly to someone assuming I'll do the same just to be a fan of their product; if they want my money, they probably shouldn't make it so difficult/undesirable for me to give it to them. (I know, I've said all this a million times before)

I mean, they spread the story out across a movie, a graphic novel, at least three videogames each of which is for a different platform yet carries a different storyline so if you want to get the whole picture you have to play all of them, and an animated series.

You can get the movie in DVD, Blu-Ray, a pack with DVD *and* Blu-Ray, a pack with DVD, Blu-Ray and the original movie, and then there are the exclusive packs with this or that extra toy or poster or whatever.

They came out with extra teaser-type trailers. Then they came out with stuff that isn't even technically considered canon (like Tron 2.0). Which is fine, that's typical-- usually as far as I know, videogames/novels/etc. associated with a movie are just considered extra fun material, not actually canon to the story, but they DID go the canon route with most of the other material (which, as we know, tends to make it all sort of hard to reconcile and some of it a bit difficult to believe, but okay).

They release a soundtrack missing a lot of tracks (though I imagine that's how soundtracks often are, since most soundtracks I know of only consist of one disc), but then they release a more-complete soundtrack outside of the country (and continent) where they made the movie. They also release the soundtrack in vinyl. Then they have "exclusive" tracks that you can't find on ANY soundtrack but you have to go to at least two or three different online music stores to get them. Then they have a pseudo-soundtrack of the soundtrack remixed by other artists (which I can sort of deal with because that's kinda the point of electronica so it's sort of fun, but...).

Then they have the toys. Again, some of them are exclusive to at least two or three different stores. Some are rumored but never ultimately released. Some are kept to small numbers to make them more desirable (which, of course, leads to price-gouging, which is money Disney will never see anyway so what's the point?).

They do stuff like sign Wilde/Hedlund for another film but don't even ask Boxleitner for the longest time (and you know that A. they couldn't possibly leave him out and B. he'd never say he wouldn't do it).

I have yet to figure out what their motive was/is. I don't know if it was greed and a desire to create more and more hype to try to make more and more money and it just snowballed, or if it truly was a social experiment to see how high they could get fans to jump.

What do you want? I'm busy.

It was just plain ol' simple greed. Every retailer wants their own "exclusive" take on it, to get people to buy their version. Which forces avid collectors to buy multiple versions of the same item. Ka-ching! for them and Disney.

Then watch Disney issue some kind of complete version of the soundtrack down the road, like Kaisergrendel said. So they get collectors to buy the soundtrack yet again.

And then people in the industry wonder why people are pirating their products, when they do stupid BS like this. I'm not advocating it, but I sure as hell understand why people would. You shouldn't have to buy 3-4 different versions just to get the complete set of tracks.

I actually did hold off on buying the soundtrack for a while, wondering if they were going to release something more complete after the DVDs came out, but no dice. And I wasn't about to pay $40 for the double-disc set, plus shipping from the UK. Would rather pirate than overpay, to be honest. That is way more than two CDs should cost.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

MGM is no longer a Disney affiliate, to the best of my knowledge. And that can really be applied to any huge corporation.

Regardless, that point still stands.

Erm, I don't what you are talking about but I can attest that I did NOT pay that much when i purchased mine through amazon uk despite living in the states. it'd as if I bought a cd at msrp at sam goodys/wherehouse tower, etc.

I do however agree with the scavenger hunts on the tracks but you need not worry as they were all ripped and uploaded anyhow so i don't see how many of you are still down about not getting the tracks when they ARE essentially available. With this in mind, if yo uare actually looking for physical copies of these tracks, your best bet thus far was to:

1) purchase the uk vinyl version of the soundtrack
2) buy the uk version of the cd (limted edition as well like the aforementioned) I can't recall whether or not the tracks were included but if im right, they are.
3) buy some of the tracks released on amazon
4) buy the track from nokia

though again. I can't recall if this is concise but so far, I know for a fact these were the correct methods of obtaining the Complete set for the soundtarck.

Not good enough, these versions are lossy and you have no way of knowing how well they were ripped without being able to listen to the CD version.

Again, not good enough, you won't have a coherent set, rather a mishmash of different formats spread across multiple sub-collections. Some in your hand, some in your harddrive.

I ordered a Collector's Edition from Discogs.com but the seller ended up disappearing and ripping off a dozen or so customers. It wasn't a new seller but one with a reputable history who just up and left one day. Now I'm pissed because I can't find it anywhere and when it does crop up on Ebay it's second hand for more than double the original price. And even THAT has tracks missing that are exclusive to sellers like Amazon.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

I never even saw that it was called the Collector's Edition. As far as I knew, it was simply like any other soundtrack release, only more complete.

the one I saw was definitely at least about $40 with the exchange rate... and I believe that was before shipping. Maybe it was early on and then the price dropped, I don't know.

Right, I didn't want to chase around to a bunch of different sites, esp since it seems it must be pretty difficult to get the correct lineup (since this the second thread that just this poster has made asking essentially the same question, and I know others have tried to figure it out too). And I do prefer a physical CD rather than just downloading stuff, which I then have to put on a flash drive or whatever to move it to another computer, they're often restricted on how many times you can copy, etc. Call me lazy, but there it is. I like to be able to pop a CD in, voila. And to have the packaging/insert, etc.

Every so often I do feel a pang of guilt at pirating music so I try to do it less often.
