Although I've never actually played Evolution, I DO, however, personnally consider Betrayal to be 'cannon' because, despite the few 'alterations' I thought it was VERY CLOSE to the movie itself, with the same characters, settings, etc.

Even though aI am the guy who started the thread, maybe we should admit that the grid world map is not anything definitive. The only map we really have and which was the source for the color one was the map on the wall of Flynn's lab. The original may not be a geographic representation of the Tron Universe at all. It didn't occur to me that it even might be until someone said so. It could have been an old and primitive schematic of some sort. Let's admit that there are no definitively readable notes on that wall map that we can extrapolate much, if anything, from.

The other problem is that the Tron universe-and I do not need a book to tell me this-is just WAY, WAY bigger than what either of those maps say it is. You could clearly see the edges of it, The Void, if you will, rather easily in the movie if it were there, but instead it's just all just outlands. You can take one look at it in the movie and see that, though how big it actually is....how wide, how wide across Tron City is and how far out Flynn's safehouse is from downtown.....all remain unanswered. I'm proposing that the maps, which do not jive with the movie much, let alone each other, may not be a valid source to consider for that info. I do know this: That the EOL club is at the top oif a mile high tower and the solar sailer was going to cover the 60 miles from TC to the Portal.
