The backstory yes..I didn't put the entire backstory in there, only part of it, but, Spark what I have written for the backstory will fit in with what you have written. I made sure of it. Perhaps we can put the two together.

I will have to say that's almost the best post here yet, Clu 3.0!!!!! 
Like there has been really great ones, but the story, plot, characters, setting, and humor all combined together work just great!!!! It really takes the cake!!  
Too bad the slow times though for all the 2011 grid programs, but at least we have these to read! 
Just so you know Flynn, I still like your posts!

I know, buddy, and I hear ya. And you're not the first person to raise that very valid point.
I've clocked a lot of hours going back and forth about it in the angst tank, trying to decide. It's tricky and surreal anytime time-travel is in the mix of a story. Clu and I talked about it alot, so did Spark and I, and, I can see the reasons why it would be tempting to have Flynn go back in time and rewrite everything. There are equal arguments for, and against.
The primary reason I finally decided on having Flynn not change the events in the past is simply to steer us back towards Tron canon after the time-travel jump so we don't have to completely rewrite the events of Legacy but instead can go forward from there.
But the secondary reason is, ....and well, to explain, let's say time-travel really were possible. If so then at first glance, such an amazing ability would seem like a dream come true, right? .... Because given the chance, we'd all like to think we'd go back and change the past...I mean, who wouldn't want to, right?....
..........until you stop and think that even with our best intentions, what if changing the past would change everything, every aspect of our lives and others' lives in ways small and big which we couldn't foresee, and that by changing things we could make far more of a mess than the messes we were trying to correct?
Heavy stuff, right? And that's where Flynn's head's at right now. It's not a decision he's reached lightly - the choice to leave history the way it was instead of rewriting it - because, it's like being given the chance to play God but then voluntarily stepping back from that chance.
I'm going with the theory that right now, with the knowledge he has, Flynn realizes that his best intentions were what led to the tragic events of Legacy, meaning his having once decided that creating "a perfect Grid" was a good idea, and that's the past he's been given the chance to re-write in our RP. So right now, just as he knows he never could have foreseen what happened in the future after he'd decided to create the perfect system, he also knows he never foresee what disasters would happen if he tried to rewrite history now. And the fateful mistake he will make in the future which will lead to Legacy, is to not heed his own warnings there, because he won't know to heed them, because, his memory of having known the future to begin with will have been erased. But that is also what steers us back around to make canon work with the RP we've just done about time-travel.
That's my thinking anyway. And as I said, it wasn't a decision I reached lightly.

I makes sense. Like who knows, if Flynn tried to change stuff he might end up not ever creating the Grid. Or even end up killing himself. Having watched Back to the Future enough helps understanding this sort of stuff.
So will this be it? After Flynn has his memory erased and the 2011 programs continue their lives what else would be left? Do we go on to A little toast 2.0 or do you have something planed? Because if you do don't tell me what it is! No spoilers here!

Hi been reading the Story for a few weeks, great stuff, didn't want to butt in over there but saw that this thread said a little toast in the title and the same people were here so I assumed it was related and wasn't the story so I figured it would be ok.

Okay, I'm having a little trouble with the Azure/Flynn/Spark part of the backstory *pokes it in annoyance*, so I'm going to post a little piece that popped into my head a couple nights ago.

"Azure, you can't!" Spark wanted to shake the ISO. "If you go into the city, Clu's black guard will kill you. It's as simple as that." Azure had her arms folded and was glaring at Spark. "Why do you want to go listen to a speech of Clu's anyway?" Spark's voice had an exasperated edge to it. Azure shrugged uncertainly. "I...I don't know," she replied finally. "It's a feeling. I have to go, Spark, I have to." Spark sighed. Maybe this is why Flynn doesn't want her at the safehouse with Quorra, she thought, looking closely into Azure's eyes. Dammit. This is playing with fire. I can only hope that if anyone gets burned, it's me, not her.
"Alright. I'll take you to see Clu's speech." Spark was shaking her head, even as she rummaged in a drawer for a moment. She pulled out a small cylinder of swirling white code. "Disk," she said, holding out her hand to Azure. Azure handed her disk over without hesitation. Spark set it on the table in front of her and opened the interface panel. She broke open the tiny cylinder and poured the contents into her hand. Then she carefully spread it throughout the code of Azure's disk. She examined her work, then closed the disk and handed it back to its owner. Azure put it in its port, then squeaked in surprise as a half-helmet rezzed into place over her face, concealing most of it from view. She looked down to find that her circuits had shifted, the patterns changing. "What did you do?" she asked. Spark gave her a flat look. "I gave you a cosmetic change. I'll undo it once we're back here. But you are not walking into the heart of Tron City as Azure the ISO. Your designation is Rena. If asked, you are an archive searcher. You find the patterns in the files. Got it?"
Azure nodded slowly. "Why are you being so...?" she trailed off. Spark sighed and rubbed her temples. "Because I think this is a bad idea. You know what the prevailing opinion and standing orders are for the ISOs. Clu is the source of that. And you want to go and listen to one of his speeches and put yourself in danger." The User looked at the ISO, and the program shuddered at the deep sadness in Spark's eyes. "I don't want you to get hurt." Azure opened her mouth but Spark interrupted before she could speak. "Alright, 'Rena', let's go. Remember, keep quiet unless someone asks you a direct question. If that happens, the info for yous disguise is in your disk." Spark handed the program a baton, then walked out of the cave. She rezzed in her own cycle and waited for Azure to follow. I really hope we make it through this, she thought as the two cycles sped towards Tron City.

Here's part two of the 'Speech' piece. Thank you to CLU 3.0 for the speech itself.

Spark led 'Rena' through the city, taking a side route towards the amphitheater where Clu would be giving his speech. She kept a deceptively gentle grip on the program's arm to keep her from running off or revealing herself. Frankly, Spark didn't trust the disguised ISO. Not after what she'd said about Clu. I shouldn't even be doing this, Spark thought as she nodded absently to a sentry at the entrance to the amphitheater. The sentry, recognizing her, nodded back and motioned them though. Spark found seats for herself and 'Rena'. Clu had already started talking and Spark turned half her attention to him. The other half was focused on keeping 'Rena' in her seat and scanning the area for anything that might be a threat to her charge. Clu's expressive voice echoed through the area.
"-turned his back on us!
He wanted this system to be Utopia.. and instead what he wanted became corrupted,
Infected.. and unstable… he held us back.. for the purpose of a miracle..
A miracle.. without a purpose!!. without direction!! There was no miracle!!
To his tyranny I say.. no…more…
NO MORE!!!
We are free!! Free!!
But our freedom….is not without cost…
We’ve lost.. fellow programs in the battle with the virus…
They will not be forgotten..
But we will go on… Kevin Flynn… before his corruption…
gave me the task of creating the perfect system.

The cheers shook the very ground. 'Rena' applauded softly, but Spark stayed silent. The cheering died down and the programs began to disperse. "Alright, Rena," she said softly. "I took you to Clu's speech, now let's go." 'Rena' frowned. "But-" Spark cut her off with a firm shake of her head. "No, you will not get closer." She lowered her voice abruptly. "We've taken enough risk coming this close. I will not allow you to be hurt."

I am sorry dear friend, but I wouldn't advise this. One, let's look back in history shell we? Alright, let's look at the face that you created Clu 2.0 for creating ' The Perfect Sustem ' and bringing Tron over from the old one to protect this one. Plus mind you in the real world your head CEO of ENCOM and have your son to look after. Clu was following basic commands that you programed to follow. Now, think about this a moment. * Sits down *
If you do go back in time to change events with what happened to Legacy. You won't just change the events. You'll change everything including history itself. Lives of people, your program, company and your son and perhaps the very events that you wish to change could or will making things worse then when Legacy happened. Take a look at the events in part Two of Back to the Future. He made it home... but in an alternate dimension. Now, are you prepared to take responsiblity of not only your life, but of others... including your son Sam.
If I were in your shoes. I wouldn't change anything. I'd be glad the time given to me. Sending your message to the world of your work and allow others to follow in your footsteps. Because that my friend is how Legends are born aswell as immortality.
Now I am not going to stop you from your decision you want to make. If you want to go back in time that's fine. But as for me, I wouldn't change a thing.
