3-Year old Girl Tron Fan

on Saturday, September, 24, 2011 10:23 AM
Hello Everyone,

This is my first post but I thought i would share a nice story. Somehow, my 3 year old daughter is turning into a Tron (legacy) fan-girl.

She wants to go as Quorra for halloween, but I can't make her understand that there is no costume available at the store in her size!

Today she was playing with her Disney princesses and making them all Tron characters. Snow White was Quorra because her hair was black. Ariel was Clu because her hair was orange like clu's shirt. It went on like that. Sleeping Beauty was Sam, etc.

At least once a day we set up the die-cast toys, listen to the soundtrack, and recreate the entire movie from the light cycles through the End of Line club. She knows Quorra's dialogue from the light runner by heart.

My 6 year old son is almost as fanatical, but it is hard for him to get away from the clone troopers.

Anyway, I thought you would all like to know that there are some more kids who genuinely love the new movie as we used to like the old movie.

I'm glad to find this forum.

First of all.. Welcome! We're glad you found us here. This really is a wonderful forum.

I have to identify with you almost exactly. I have 2 sons.. 5 and 3. And they love Legacy. My 3 year old especially. He has some of the toys and he plays with them all the time. He even tries to act out some scenes... Like the other day when he had some toys on the coffee table and he said "Daddy, watch this" And he proceeded to knock everything off the table like Clu did at Flynn's hideout. I couldn't help but laugh... Weeeelll.. Now he does it all the time..

Now my other son who is 5. He likes Tron.. But he likes Yoshi (from Mario Bros) and he has them in all colors.. So he says that the blue one is Sam, the yellow one is Clu.

I think its great that your kids like it. You're in good company.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

you can always make her a costume. i met a girl at rocky horror that wore a black tank top where she taped off the "lights" in painters tape. If you get reflective tape it works wonderfully when taking pictures. it glows really well. Add a skirt and some long gloves and black tights and boom. I'm sure you could find all that for a three year old

I made my own Tron costume as well. It really isn't that hard. All you need are black clothes for the base, ribbon/reflective tape/EL wire/etc. for the circuitry, and an ID disk, and you're good to go.

{A very big thanks to FlynnOne for the pic! And to Wulfeous for sharpening the details!*huggles both*}
{Because people always seem to guess wrong, I'm saying it here: I'm female!!! And my name is Spark!!!}

I've got the same issue - except that my daughter is 5 now. She wants to be Quorra. I think we may start with a Sam Flynn costume and modify it so that she looks more like Quorra.

haha, why, coz that's what just happened? haha. well at least bruce gave us hope for it coming early. oh and ya go make your little girl a costume. it can be simple. if youre going for the sewing route, which i think is more child friendly, neon blue or shiny silver strips of cloth will do

Here is a similar thing that happened. I know its already been posted but I thought it goes with this thread.
I was at a grocery store today to get a picture taken, and since its halloween there was lots of people getting pictures taken of themselves in costumes. Since I was wearing a Tron T-shirt (like any good Tron fan should) the person at the photo desk commented on it. Then she told me that a 3-4 year old was in to get a picture taken earlier, and that he was wearing a black suit with white lines on it (a batman suit turned inside out with white paint). She asked who he was dressed as to which he said, "I'm Tron". Then I said to her, "Its good the young people are learning what Tron is, Eh?"
