**Over in the corner, Spark slowly returns to full consciousness, one sensation at a time. First touch and sound, firm arms cradling her, and the deep rumbling purr, which she can feel as much as hear, that identifies Rinzler as the one holding her. Also, the pain of her wounds, duller than before, filters through. There are strips of fabric - crude bandages? - wrapped around each wound. She doesn't try to open her eyes yet, instead, she activates her diagnostic subroutines, downloaded so long ago, right after she had first entered the system. The results come back, confirming what her human senses are telling her. The wounds have been partially healed, thanks to a clumsy energy transfer. //Flynn's doing,// she thinks. //And Clu2's. Flynn would never have tried this on his own, not this Flynn anyway.//**

Rinzler: *strokes Spark's hair, sensing that she is close to waking* Rrrrr.... *croons softly, too soft for anyone but her to hear*

**Finally, after what seems like an eternity to Rinzler, although it is only minutes since the User first showed signs of stirring, Spark opens her eyes.**

Spark: *groans inaudibly and rubs at her eyes* Okay, ouch. That's not something I'd like to do on a regular basis.

**Rinzler helps Spark sit up, hands her the bottle of energy-water, and supports her while she regains strength. Spark drinks slowly, allowing her body to absorb the energy at its own pace, rather than trying to force it. After she finishes the drink, she tries to reach for her disk, then whimpers in pain as one of her wounds is aggravated. Rinzler immediately moves and hands Spark her disk, the rumble deepening slightly in rebuke.**

Spark: *nods tiredly* Thanks Rinz.

**Spark opens the interface panel of her disk with an expert flip, and sifts through the data, pulling up sheets of DNA-esque coding. She frowns at the extent of the damage and Rinzler hisses in sympathy. Spark sighs.**

Spark: This is going to take a while.

**Spark begins the complex process of making repairs, fixing the damage done by the weapons of the Energy Scavengers. Rinzler sits next to her, one arm curled protectively around her shoulders. He, like many other programs, is fascinated by the intricacies of User code, but that doesn't stop him from keeping a wary eye on the rest of the people in the room and hissing if any approach too closely. Spark is his and he will not tolerate any threats to her.
