The poser supply that kept the computer on...

on Tuesday, August, 23, 2011 5:19 PM
There are many explanations as to how the computer which Flynn was trapped in was on for the 17 years he was trapped in it. Think about it, Flynn is a genius so he's not going to essentially enter such a lifeboat without taking some measures to keep the power on and him, essentially alive.

For one, he had Alan working to keep it on and presumably pay the bills. The machine would have had a battery backup. Flynn was rich and could have paid vast amounts of money to pay forward the power company. I am sure the machine also had battery backups. Maybe it also had a solar power supply on the roof. I have been to houses where there is someone living there who is in an iron lung or some electrically powered device which helps them medically, and on their power box there is a power company sticker saying "LIFE SUPPORT, DO NOT DISCONNECT". That could be how he did it. And didn't his lab in the basement of the arcade have something like that on the door?

I dont really know much about power...but the 'door' is just the Tron machine and I think it would look a little akward to have a "do not turn off" sticker on the game.
Instead, I think I like your original idea better, the one you didn't demonstrate. (Look at the title very closely.)

The poser supply that kept the computer on. I could interpret this in 2 ways. One would be to have them visit every few days and have them pay the electricity bills. The secong way is slightly more violent, and much more literal. Have the posers themselves BE the power supply, using their own matter. (I won't explain this in detail unless you want me to)

I keed, I keed. I wouldnt use posers as a power supply, nor would I trust one to pay my bills (I'm not the most trusting person). Although if they posed as Alan, they may or may not be able to get away with it....
I was just messing with your spelling fail. don't hate me for my weirdness. I laughed very much when I read the title cuz I'm weird like that.

Like I said earlier, I dont know anything about electricity or power supplies and whatnot, so I'll leave it to people who know what they're talking about where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

<3 Re-Rez RAM! <3
The inner mechanisms of my brain are an enigma.

It's okay, nerdgirl. I laughed when I saw it too! So I guess I'm right there in weird-land with ya! LOL! As far as the whole, "electricity on for 20 yrs" aspect of the movie, I choose not to try and figure out the details, I just accept it. It is what it is. I'm just happy to see that my favorite childhood movie finally got its sequel.
