Another minor blooper spotted...

on Saturday, August, 20, 2011 10:02 PM
When Sam enters the arcade, all the games are turned on when he flips the main power switch. Only thing is, the games are still covered in their plastic sheets, and since those games g(a)ive off enormous amounts of heat, they would surely be destroyed by overheating not too long after that. Anyhow.....

Another thing I noticed when I watched it the other night:

The power in the arcade is switched off, yet that large sign above the arcade (not the Flynn sign, the 'Space Paranoids' one right at the top) looks has if it was still on.

I think it even flickers somewhat...where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

I can imagine somebody, possibly Alan, arranging to have the place looked after - paying to have a security guard keep an eye on the place, keeping the alarm system working, etc. Keeping the arcade intact would be a sort of "keeping the light on for Flynn" gesture. Doesn't feel like too much of a stretch to me, all things considered.

The other thing is that back when my dad owned a pool hall that had eighties era video games in it,-mainly because it WAS the eighties- he'd turn them on in the morning and they'd run various self diagnostics before they booted up, some of which put weird coded patterns on the screens and let out various sound patterns used in the games. You didn't have to actually do anything after that, they'd be ready to play on their own after maybe 2 minutes. In TL they start right up. abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

On a semi-related note, I'm still trying to figure out how the Tron cabinet door closed itself.

TRON 2.0 (PC) name - TRON.dll
I'll play any mode, but I'm best at LC.

PSN - TRON-dll
XBOX Live/Games for Windows Live - TRONdll
-I have a Wii, DS, and 3DS. PM me to exchange friend codes.

These sorts of things really aren't "Bloopers". Even if they were actually incorrect (the arcade machine start-up screens for instance) they easily fall under the heading of artistic license and are probably deliberate choices, not mistakes. I doubt the overheating-under-a-sheet issue is really a problem, since they clearly had arcade machines under tarps running the whole time they're filming.

A blooper is when you can see a microphone in the shot, or a piece of costume falling off, or a stormtrooper hitting his head on a door.

Oh, as as for the hidden door closing, I just always assumed that it works like a lot of doors with the pneumatic arms that pull closed after being opened. I've never looked too closely at the detail of the door mechanism, but it might be worth looking to see if it has something like that (again, not a "blooper" though ).

Right -- none of these are "bloopers" per se... also, I have a few arcade games (including TRON) -- and upon start up, none of them immediately "run diagnostics" as was mentioned in an above prior post -- they go straight to attract/game mode. Also, the arcade games don't generate "enormous amounts of heat" (in reference to another, above prior post) and wouldn't destroy the games in LEGACY either (especially in the time frame of the LEGACY story) -- and ultimately, there's room for them to "breathe" and ventilate.

I agree - especially in the case of the FLYNN'S sign not turning off when the games were turned off. I'm thinking that the FLYNN'S sign was on a different circuit then the circuit supplying power to all of the games. It's pretty easy to imagine that actually.

As far as the arcade being kept secure for 20+ years, I'm sure that Alan looked after it or maybe he had Roy "RAM" Kleinberg look after it since they were both in on the whole FLYNN LIVES movement, as revealed in the TRON: THE NEXT DAY clip. Lets not forget - it was Alan who gave Sam the keys to the arcade. The only other copy of those keys would most likely have belonged to Kevin himself. Kevin probably had them locked up in a safe box in his secret lab somewhere.

Fighting for TRON, The USERS, Both Flynns, Independents, and the mighty ISOs since '82.

I was thinking that, or spring-loaded.

See the labels that say "sign" and "house"? (I can't tell what the other two say-- the one right beneath "house" and the other red one further down)

I noticed as soon as Kevin Flynn is done playing 'Space Paranoids' you can see what looks to be a microphone or film equipment that gets in the frame.

I love tron toys, kre-o toys, and smurf toys. I also love movies.
