I've just been given the news this morning, I've been selected to represent the United Kingdom in this years European Championship in Andorra. All expenses paid as well, I am really excited however first time on a plane so I'll be a nervous wreck! Hopefully I'll have a decent run in the tournament and don't get knocked out in the first round. The tournament takes place mid October so not long to train, if I can I'll post my progress on here ^.^ wish me luck.

Well I am back! I didn't win anything not even a single round! lol!!! However my very first round I was up against a girl who had won the Europeans twice previously and she went on to win it a thrid time in a row so technically I got second place or thats what I am telling ppl anyway hahaha!

For a surprise when I was half way to Andorra I was told I am competing in the team event on the sunday, we did better on that day we managed to get the UK to the quarter finals! A bad call from the judges saw us lose our round, this isn't making excuses one of the guys in the other team performed the wrong kata which is instant disqualification however the judges were too busy watching people from their contries competing in another match.

Anyway I loved it, learned a lot and not about Iaido but myself as a person, and has promised here are some photos

Thanks the Orion shot was taken as a normal shot, no over exposure or delayed shutter speeds. Thats what I had to do on the night time shots, but all in all great views the only annoying thing was that the whole city was in shade right until about 10:30 when the sun just popped over the mountains then you were just blinded by the sun and heat right until 3:30 ish when suddenly you're looking for a light switch. Crazy but great wish I was still there lol
