Hey there. I'm a relatively new TRON fan. I didn't see it as a kid like most others around my age. I watched the original about six years ago (on VHS, no less) from my local library. I'd found it by accident while searching various computer animation shorts that were made a decade or so after TRON. Why I'd never even heard of it before is beyond me.

I'll take a risk at sounding corny: The film is fantastic; a vibrant, shimmering piece of art. I cannot express how much the aesthetic arrangements and the spirit of the film itself illuminate the core of everything I love about art, and simply the way I view the world. I've always had an affinity for asymmetric, geometric lines, and/or a modern "futuristic" visual appearance. It was as if Steven Lisberger jumped into my imagination and painted it into a wonderful film. I know that probably sounds ridiculous, but it's true. TRON has and will always hold a special place in my heart, and I connect with it like I have with no other movie before or since.

I saw Legacy in theaters and thought it tied into the original quite seamlessly. It wasn't what the original was, but the beauty of that is it wasn't trying to be. Perhaps that's why it had so many (unfortunately) disfavorable reviews - people expected it to try too hard - it didn't, and it was lovely. I only wish more people had the same fondness for TRON as I do.

I wanted to add that this site is awesome. I stumbled across it a couple of years ago and to be honest I was surprised there is so much activity here still (I hardly know anyone who is into or knows much of anything TRON related). Anyway, it's great to be here, and I hope to connect with like minds for an amazing film!
