That's pretty cool! Maybe the music is different for different local forecasts, but here is a link to the Weather Channel's music lineup:

Apparently, it changes every month. Unfortunately, I didn't see any Daft Punk in there, but like I said, it may be different for different areas for the Local On The 8's forecast.

TWC is weird these days. They used to have a very steady smooth jazz selection that played all day through local forecasts, but now that they're owned by NBC... or is it ABC? The one with the peacock logo... their morning show is a lot more like a news broadcast. They do stock reports, traffic reports, sometimes even gossip crap, and during that time block, their local forecast music turns from tasteful to really annoying pop singers. I'm pretty amazed that DP got in there now.
Nothing will beat the time they were playing the Jurassic Park theme song though. My wife and I started doing riff trax.

I can just imagine what would've happened if we'd been watching that with TRON music.

LoL That is hillarious! As much as I was watching TWC lately with all the bad storms on the east coast I wish they were at least playing Daft Punk instead of some weird jazz stuff. Sometimes they at least play the same type of background music that is on that Disneyworld channel in the hotels. Makes me wanna go back every time I hear it

Last weekend I was visiting my mom and finally heard it (we don't own a TV here). I think it was the "end credits" track.
"They really DO play the Tron music on the Weather Channel!" I said.
Bit strange to me. I think of Weather Channel music as that inane elevator-music crap. Kinda wish they'd keep it that way.
