So there was a discussion about the end of the movie, and the transfer of data onto Sam’s SD chip. And then after that he shuts down the machine.. and upon leaving shuts down power to the building.. but here is an interesting topic for discussion..
When Kevin Flynn disappeared.. power was obviously shut off at Flynn’s Arcade… we know this because Sam turned it back on when he got there. So… that means power has been off all this time..no power to the machine..no power to the computer.. and now power to The Grid. So how did things continue to function all this time with no power? If the computer/machine had a backup battery.. that ran out long ago. So how did things continue to develop? Everything should have been frozen in time until power was restored… and you could also assume that Kevin Flynn should have been frozen as well.. meaning he shouldn’t have aged (hyper sleep).
What is everyone’s take on this?

Maybe The Grid was connected to a separate power control system (along with everything else in the lab)? I think the general response to that has been "suspend disbelief", lol.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

I think many of us have suspected that the Grid was using an alternate power source separate from the Arcade's main breaker. It could be possible that the Grid was being powered by a solar panel with a battery backup (the reason why I say this is because in the TRON: Betrayal comic, Flynn opposes the Encom Board's proposal to use fuels, apparently he wanted to make Encom become "green" before the term "going green" even existed).

I think he closed the arcade and just kept working in the basement for a long time afterward.
No one would suspect he was there, and he could just keep working as long as he needed to too . . . so the basement must of had a separate source of power or he just kept the basement switch on.

That actually doesn't work. It's been confirmed that Flynn was trapped in The Grid in 1989, while the arcade itself closed down in 1991 or 1990.abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

January 15th, 1990. "Home of TRON" states that was the date the Arcade closed its doors for the final time.

The "lab" is on a seperate power grid to the arcade, because if it wasn't then the system would have shut down and you wouldn't have had that eggtimer screensaver clocking up the hours over the last 20 years. At the end of the movie Sam does not shut down the arcade if you look he flips the switch for the "Flynns" sign outside.

Who ran it until then? Were they just keeping it open until they did whatever they had to do legally to close it down?

On second viewing I always wondered--does that mean he's bringing the arcade back as well as taking over at Encom? What do you want? I'm busy.
Program, please!

I don't know Kat, I'd assume that Flynns arcade would be part of Sam's estate he just didn't bother with it. And I could picture sam moving into his Dad's old arcade house rather than the Dumont garrage. Who knows maybe we will find out in Tron 3 (if and when it happens of course)

Alan had the keys the whole time. I'd assume it was him.

Let me ask, if YOU were teleporting yourself into a computer, don't you think you'd take exttra measures to ensure power isn't lost while you were in there?
Flynn is pretty smart, I'm sure he had multiple uninterruptible power lines as well as multiple backups. Not to mention a standing order to Never fully disconnect power to the arcade under any circumstances.
Now if Encom had sold off the property, he would have been screwed. But lucky for him they didn't. I'm sure they didn't because it was Sams, and Sam just left it, not wanting to get rid of the last reminder of his father.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online
