Do programs feel pain?

on Tuesday, April, 26, 2011 9:35 PM
Clu in Tron screams horribly when he is derezzed but it was long and drawn out. Quorra seemed to shut down to protect herself, so felt no pain. Programs in the disk wars made little noise, but the cyclist programs did scream. Reflex response or true pain?

I think they feel the pain like we do. I remember looking at Quorras face when her arm got derezed off...and she was like in shock. There was that other lady in the End of Line Club, when Zuse was shooting up the place, and her hands got derezed, and she was like crying.. and probably a lot in pain. But yea, those are a few examples..

She wasn't in pain, she was kneeling and holding the derezzed bits of her friend as she was crying over the loss of him/her. Of course programs feel pain. They cried out when derezzed and also in the anticipation of pain.

Funny how in Tron, the light sticks they used seemed painful but in T:L, sometimes it wasn't so apparent. But I guess programs do feel pain.

because in legacy, the weapons weren't fooling around,
just about anyone hit in that film derezzed.

in the original, torture seemed more what the MCP was into
slowing power cycles, stun staffs, absorbing the elder programs, etc.

as for legacy's program's pain, i absolutely loved the death screams.
i'm having trouble decscribing what i enjoyed out of them without getting into technical sound design speak, but i'll try:

to me it sounded like you could literally hear the program degrading into nothingness.on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill online
